Date single man from United States. Okay, it's a little hard for me to talk about myself. I'm not really a shy guy and once you get to know me, you will find that I have alot of interests. Recently I purchased an RV so camping has been my new "thing to do" on weekends. I have been to the mountains of Luguna here in San Diego, Yuma to pick it up, and also to the beaches of Coronado. That place is soo nice and relaxing. Camp fires are usually nice but if you like BBQ, just sitting in the sun, nice people hanging out, sunsets, etc... that is the place to be!
Work is a big part of my schedule and I am up at 5:30 every morning. I really enjoy what I do as a Network Engineer and find myself keeping abreast of current technology as much as possible. To my credit though, when work is done, I rarely come home to surf the internet and don't believe in twitter. I generally exercise 3 to 4 times a week and revisiting an interest in the P90X program, but have been walking or running and doing martial arts for the same benefit over the past 2 to 3 years. As I was saying, I really don't watch TV much or surf the internet; there is just so much more to do with that free time!. Anyway, Facebook is fun and I have alot of personal friends there that check in so I can't say that I don't spend some of my free time checking it out. Look at me now... ha!
I was previously married for 14 years and still spend time with my sons when possible. I'm a new to online dating and am interested in these new events that are sponsored by Match. So here goes; the alarm clock sounds and i’m off, after I power up my computer every morning and briefly check my e-mails, I will usually click on the sports illustrated and preview the latest news. Before i’m out the door for a morning run, or swim. I’m not a very trendy guy, I would much rather prefer to wear shorts, a t-shirt,a pair of flip-flops along with my Boston Red Sox’s hat. But if you give me 15 minutes and I can be ready for a play at the Old Globe Theatre or an evening at Humphrey’s catching a concert. Or i’m very content to spend a nice relaxing evening at home with bowl of popcorn and a nice bottle of wine watching a movie.

In addition to a formal education, I have completed TONS of personal development courses. I wouldn't trade anything for my educational experiences. I've been through the curriculum and graduate courses at Landmark, and I also "study" personal development on-line and I spend time daily, reading something that has to do with personal and spiritual growth. I have a daily meditation practice, (but that practice could use some improvement).
What my education has taught me is 2 things. First...it's not all my Mother's fault...The second thing I learned was how to talk myself out of a ticket! Woo Hoo! I am grateful for my education!! :)

As you can see I was in the Military. I had a great time and enjoyed a fabulous career. While I'm proud of my time with the Navy and Marines, it isn't what I would say defines me. Meet men and women from San Diego, United States. I am a nerd. I am a research scientist, a molecular biologist to be exact. Doing science can be difficult and frustrating. But science can be awe-inspiring, too. It makes me think about things beyond (and beneath) what we can see with our eyes in our everyday life.
But I am not a nerd who spends all of his time in the lab. I spend a lot of time outdoors. I love nature. I like to hike and camp. I love skiing. I have been an avid swimmer since young. And I ventured to do triathlon for the first time last year. Now I run and ride a bike regularly.
I also enjoy quiet activities like reading books and watching movies. My movie viewing history is probably a bit weird. There are many famous and popular movies I haven't seen. But I'm sure that I have seen more movies directed by Aki Kaurismaki of Finland than 99% of people in US. I also like to watch The Daily Show with Jon Stewart because I like the way they make fun of hypocrisies.
I am shy and introverted. People often comment about my smile and that makes me think that I’m not being antisocial. :) But I am not exactly a social butterfly. I am not much of a drinker, either. I might sip some beer or wine once in a while. But for the most part I don’t really drink. (I can’t drink much even if I try, anyway. People are amused how a glass of beer makes my face red.) So, if you are looking for an outgoing guy who knows some cool bars, I’m not the right guy for you. But if you are looking for someone who is healthy, you won’t find too many guys healthier than me.
I was born and grew up in Japan. And I have been living in US for more than 15 years. I'd like to think that having been exposed to two different cultures made me aware of many different view points.
It’s hard to say whom I’m looking for. Things that I value include curiosity, open mind and honesty. Naturally, the motivation for doing this is the hope of finding someone to have a (hopefully long-term) relationship. But I think it is counterproductive to raise the expectation too high. I think that meeting some interesting people and making new friends would be a worthy goal.
