I've been out of a long term relationship/marriage for over three years now...Although I am content with my life, I have to say I do miss that feeling of connecting with someone and ultimately would like to get off this site. I suppose the first thing you should know is that I'm a divorced single mother of two girls who I love dearly. They are the most important part of my life and I very willingly make many sacrifices for them.
Apart from my children, I'm an active student of life (and occasionally of Bucks County Community College), an introvert (which is not synonymous with the next uni-bomber, it just means I am more internally reflective rather than socially outgoing), and a socially responsible moderate Democrat.
I work with and love technology, although I'm not the kind of person who needs to have the very latest gadgets. I'm perfectly happy with my two year old iPhone that has shattered glass under its Mad Men vinyl cover, and I don't see a need to own an iPad. I'm a computer (PC) professional but still searching for my dream job. I am very spiritual and believe in a higher power, tending mostly toward Buddhist teachings, and I'm open to philosophical teachings of any kind that encourage peaceful coexistence with other inhabitants of Planet Earth and internal calm, but I don't worship a God, with the exception of the writers of The Daily Show and Breaking Bad.
As I write this I think I might sound like a bit of a geek, which I'm comfortable with. I admit I find myself relating to Sheldon's character on The Big Bang Theory occasionally (don't sit in my seat!) but I'm a pretty cute semi-geek, which is charming to the right audience. I love well written TV, film, and books. I love travel, the outdoors, and exploring but I don't like extreme or adventure sports.
I am generally attracted to people who are inquisitive, articulate, and easy-going. Someone said to me recently, "That guy's a great catch - he's loaded and loves to have fun!"
