Meet someone special from United States. I'm very passionate about my work and I devote a lot of my time and energy to it. But since I teach "lifestyle balance", I also try to balance it all out with as much play as I can. Living by the beach allows me to walk on the sand every morning, which is the perfect way for me to start my day. Exercise is a great stress reliever for me and I also happen to enjoy it as well. I'm into road cycling, surfing and yoga. Other ways I "unplug" is watching good movies (I don't watch TV) and reading although I tend to gravitate to non-fiction/health related stuff so it kind of gets me into working mode again-but that's OK, I love doing what I do.I've got a great circle of friends that I've hung out with for years here. We're a pretty active crew, playing volleyball and surfing together, as well as BBQing, cooking dinners and having drinks as often as we can.
I've been back in San Diego for 12 years now - I was here for college at UCSD, then went away for a while. I went to San Fran for school, I lived in Costa Rica for a while and then San Diego called me back. I've lived in other parts of the country for spurts here and there too but I guess I got spoiled growing up in Southern California. I love the beach, the weather and all of the healthy activity it has to offer. I've considered living abroad again but my career is tied to San Diego for right now. My dream is to do a few month-long sabbaticals: one each in Spain, the south of France and Tuscany. There are many others destinations on the list as well but these are my current top 3. Since I love the lifestyle it offers and my friends and family are here, I see myself keeping San Diego as my home base and traveling tons instead of actually moving abroad most likely.
