Date a soulmate from Santa Paula, United States. Hello & thank you for looking at my profile.
So why am I here? I'm in education and for the first time in years I have the summer off, so I'm looking to make new friends to enjoy all of what So Cal. has to offer.
I AM NOT looking to get laid, sleep with you, or to be in a FWB situation. And I won't send you a picture of my 6-pack (I'm out of beer right now). I am actually a nice, normal guy looking for friends to talk, hang out with, and have fun with no expectations(I'm open for a relationship developing naturally, but I don't want the pressure of a timeline; e.g., after 1 yr we have to take it to another level or else). I still say "thank you" and "please," hold open doors, pick up stray dogs, and give to the homeless (I've given away my jacket 4 times). And you won't see me texting while we are having a conversation (biggest pet peeve). Although I live in Ventura Co. I'll be visiting friends & family all over So Cal. so I'm open to making new friends from LA to Santa Barbara.
Thing I enjoy:
Hiking, camping, archery, fishing (or pretending to fish), kayaking, gardening, salsa dancing (although I'm a bit rusty), hanging out at a dive bar, wine tasting, good beer, coffee, shoe shopping (for you not me), watching cheese 80's movies, jazz, hip-hop, 70-80's music, cooking, playing with my dogs, running (ok jogging but I'm working on that), Dodger games, volunteering at dog rescues, museums (LACMA & Getty are my favorites), foreign films, comedies, Netflix, Thai food, Ethiopian food, Mexican food, Japanese food, Chines food. I prefer SLO to Las Vegas and being outdoors to watching sports on TV. I'm not a vegetarian but it is OK if you are (I am trying to eat healthier but it's hard to pass on BBQ).
Who I'm looking for:
You be an intelligent, confidant (but not arrogant), attractive, spunky, fun person who wants to be friends. Someone who can wear running shoe, hiking boots, and high heels in the same day. If you are looking to get married or have kids by a certain deadline, them I'm not for you (but I'm cool if you have children as long as their daddy won't try to beat me up). If you consider yourself to be a diva or people say you are high maintenance, we won't get along. Be laid back and open to simple pleasures, such as going to the beach, exploring a canyon, checking out the latest museum exhibit, or eating at a taco stand in LA. But you should also be able to dress up and "paint the town red" to enjoy a night of dancing or live music from time to time.
