Date a man from California, United States. After some amazing life experiences in St. Louis, Phoenix, LA and New York, I'm ready to reach out past my amazing social and professional circles to meet that fantastic "someone" who's: put together, honest, interesting, smart, active, creative and open to the chance of starting something with "possibility". Yet with all the pressure of that life-goal, I'm really hoping to start something casual and on a friendly level to make sure the chemistry is right.
I'm a traveller and spend time all over, which makes it hard to find a true connection. But I'd love to have a reason to dig roots and start a family, thus the online kind of thing.
I'm into Design, Architecture, Film, Alternative sports like surfing/skating/bike riding, Photography, Music and the hunt for the perfect goodwill or garage sail, as well as the ubiquitous urban safari to bag the perfect gimlet.
As an entrepreneur since high school I am driven and dedicated to the energy enthusiasm of "creation" but diligent to take the time needed to decompress and enjoy life. I'm lucky to be able to choose the hours I give to work, live, inspire, and create.
Not to toot my own horn (but that's what this profile is for) I'm just a good guy after a clean divorce, who is happy, successful and secure, no baggage or dependencies. I'm active and engaged in many different things. I'm all about giving back, volunteering and being the life of the party, but I'm also sort of a loner and appreciate the spaces between the notes that create the music, if you know what I mean.
My friends tell me I'm creative, thoughtful, caring and dependable and that I'm funny but not obnoxious, serious but not oppressive and silly on a regular basis.
Originally from the midwest, I've lived all over and my mom helped me developed a special blend of respectful values and new world savvy that I call Modern Chivalry - Basically it's the idea that I'm hoping for a modern girl who wants her independence and life, but appreciates that I've got her bak as well as door, in the big picture.
Really, I'd love meet someone at like, the grocery store - because we caught each other's smiles, have a coffee that turns into a bike ride to the water for a sunset walk with great conversation. Then on the way back, run into a spot to have a drink and listen to some live music while people watching.
But, in the mean time, since I shop at the Venice farmer's market on fridays, if you think we might have something in common or you are interested in finding out more, shoot me a note. If it works out maybe we can just tell people that we met over fresh veggies:)
Meet single man from California, United States. ME:
Tall, dark, handsome. Strong and sensitive. Present. Shaken not Stirred lol.
You:
Lovely. Charming. Kind. Capable. Smart. Lighthearted. Present. On your path. Can feel the ground beneath your feet. Love dogs.
I love:
What we all love. A terrace overlooking the blue of the cote d’azur, a glass of Gigondas in hand, some Samba playing softly in the background and a bath running. The way the wind fills the sails of a Swan 38 on the run out to Sandhamn with just the right amount of breeze to get the boat really moving, islands covered with dark pines on either side of a wide channel, good friends along for the ride, and life is just magnificent. The light hitting those olive trees, as the leaves rustle and go green-silver-green-silver…. Watching a polo pony really hit its stride—open up into full potential, you get chills, he finds that one more gear…. outpacing and reaching for the ball. Which reminds me--that little moment just south of Topanga on PCH where there is the slightest downhill and sometimes I can get the bike moving so fast it feels like I can almost leave the ground.
Yes I have thorough and limitless love for my dog, who is the smartest and coolest pup (and sidekick) on the planet, not to mention the best looking. And a big bear. She.
More facts: Me. Appreciative. Adventurous. Honest. Occasionally old school. Looks good in a blazer. Lol. Pilots license. Ivy league education. Real. Open to learning. Love people. Have lived abroad a bit.. Daily exercise. Alpha male but in balance. Handy in the kitchen. Caring to a fault. Surprisingly lighthearted. Spiritually in tune, as much as possible. Oh--Had my age guessed at 27 recently Get told I look like George Clooney almost daily. Lol.
I can frequently be found: Riding my road bike up Mandeville or Latigo canyon. Buying berries, oysters, fresh juice and such.at the santa monica farmers market. Chauffeuring a big rottweiler around town, her large head sticking out the window of my truck...
Looking for: Affinity. Appreciation. Connection. Ideally.... A real person who is intelligent, honest, trustworthy, and connects with me in what can only be called a soul-satisfying way--a strong bond that you can feel the echoes of physically, spiritually, emotionally.. The caring that happens in a great relationship with good communication and rapport of knowing this is where you are supposed to be---where two people can trust and count on each other, share the details, read each others thoughts, grow together and continue their own path through life with the sometime company of and connection to the other. And, of course, an amazing, earth-shattering passion....AKA the whole nine yards.
Thanks to all the people whose profiles I have read in the past few days that have helped me clarify this process!
Date someone special from California, United States. Hey! I'm a cool guy with a lot to offer to the right gal. I have an edgy look but am really a complete nerd with a geeky vocabulary who loves to joke around and not take life or himself too seriously. I like engaging with someone and really enjoy good conversation. My lifestyle is pretty healthy overall and I'd like to share that. I work hard but also like to have a balance, to relax, to have a great connection with someone, to be kind, to have fun.
I'm essentially looking for someone on the same page as me, who I think is a great person, who I'm really attracted to. It's all about having chemistry right?
If you think we'd click I'd love to hear from you.

Meet a soulmate from California, United States. Candidly, will never settle. Life is growth, layering and breadth. The good - need and want to know, do and understand more. The bad - hard, to this point, to find like vision. I am fairly certain I am an over-achiever, live for the details and simple pleasures in life, allow cynicism to veil my genuine interest in the well being of others, am fiercely loyal, while I would love to retire young [relative term, understood] I love what I do so much I fear boredom and can not thank my family enough - here and passed - for their guidance.
Oh, I'm also a better cook than I am a baker [keeping in mind I've won multiple ribbons and faux precious medal trophies in sanctioned bake offs], I'm a strong, if not cautious driver, I can hold my breath for over two minutes, the first person to fashion a balloon animal inspires me, I've only skied once and on that day [New Hampshire, 1993] I was given a medal for being rad at skiing, I have perfected a swat that will simply stun flies and have not killed a an insect since 1998, I admire the Somali pirates for their Charles Bronson-esque attitude if not their deeds and wish to be remembered in passing as someone who genuinely cared more about others than I did myself.
"What I'm looking for"? Someone who is confident. Assured that wherever she is in life, there have been lessons learned and there is so [!] much more to absorb, explore and understand. I reckon that would be someone who's open to challenges, aware of possibilities, appreciative of every breath, sharp and articulate. It would be awesome, not a deal breaker, not a "must have", but definitely appreciated if I could meet someone who knows how to handle a gun. I've never held a firearm of any caliber, and probably never will, so one of us might need to step up.
Date a man from Venice, United States. Later on in my life an ex-girlfriend would say, "100,000 sperm and you were the fastest? "
Took me awhile, but finally, here I am all growed up. I'm an easy-going, fun, and honest guy and I have an awesome job in Television. I love what I do because everyday is different. I'm a real hard worker and I like to be the best at what I do.
Humor is a necessity in life and I love to laugh, but when it's time to get serious I'm as straight as an arrow.
I am not a total fatty. I try to exercise 4-5 days a week for 30 minutes on my stationary bike or jog with my dog. I also walk him twice a day. I usually eat fairly healthy and I cook 99% of the time. I had decided to actually go through with my new years resolution last year: It was to lose some weight and get in shape. So I quit screwing around and started getting active. I lost 35 lbs. :) The other day I was at the second hand store and spontaneously bought a skateboard. I haven't been on one since the 8th grade. I'm doing pretty good and my dog loves to run. And now I'm gonna survive Armageddon this year. :P
I'm looking for a best friend. I'm attracted to women who are funny, laugh easily, and have a great smile. I am looking to for someone to try new things with like sailing, rock climbing, maybe bungie jumping or sky diving...or maybe just stick to the trapeze. :) Lately, I've been doing a lot of scuba diving. I work in television, and soon I'm taking it underwater. I'd like to travel and dive around the world. I haven't traveled as much as I'd like, since I grew up as a poor white child. :P I'd also like to try some sky diving.
I'm pretty much awesome and you wish you were with me doing something totally rad (thats a saying from the 80's). So, if you think we are on the same path, a kismetic destiny, well, you know what to do.
Anyway, good luck to you, because I can have any woman I please. But, apparently so far, I haven't pleased any of them.
Meet single man from Venice, United States. ok sorry for the false advertising. not a billionaire. yet. i'm pretty ambitious and confident about my ability to succeed. i am work-obsessed, and love being creative. seeking someone who is a deep thinker like myself. but maybe who has a bit more of an easy going spirit to balance out my seriousness :)
and someone who might enjoy wrenching me away from my desk to remind me that in fact life is NOT about work (i know this to be the case, but have trouble applying it).
Date someone special from Venice, United States. I am a complex simple nut. I love the outdoors but spend plenty of time inside them. I am not recently emerged from a devastating relationship nor a failed trial of antidepressants, please don't be too; both are OK but timing one's presence for a relationship is essential. I think my turn ons may say as much about me, so here goes:
Turn Ons:
mental
Someone who says I don’t know and wants to
Someone who can debate a topic but doesn’t argue
Someone with a routine that fulfills them intellectually and physically
Someone who sees Tomas, Sabina and Tereza from Kundera’s novel as a metaphor and not a bastard, a slut and a martyr
Someone who has no idea what that means and declares they may or may not want to without emotional stress
Someone who blows my mind without knowing it
Someone who doesn't think inside or outside the box, but believes there is no box
Someone who knows karma is not a hokey Indian word for “just desserts”
Someone who agrees that contemporary society needs help
Someone who can have it all, but knows that a true sense of love and family is everything
Someone who has an affinity for things which are timeless
Someone who knows a supportive stance will out perform sarcasm and judgment anytime
Someone who respects the planet and its creatures
Someone who knows sex without tantra is good but bears little difference from sex alone
physical
the eyes first, always
hair, please have some – unless you’re a Krishna devotee in which case you've likely gotten lost on the internet
self respect through food, sleep, exercise, balance and shared support
wind pipes familiar with singing; well or otherwise
