Date someone special from United States. In brief: I have an academic background (Classics), but I currently work in viticulture and winemaking in northern San Diego County. I'm also catching up on the science and tech aspects of the trade through UC Davis Extension, since Greek and Latin don't help much in managing grape vines. I've lived abroad in the past and intend to do so again. Currently I live in the Anza Valley, where I tend my tomato vines, read books, drink healthy quantities of red wine. When I'm not doing those things or working down the hill in the vineyard I'm often in San Diego or up the mountain in Idyllwild. I'd like to meet a serious, thoughtful, literate woman who values her independence. Since what I do right now has the effect of putting me outside the circle where I'd be likely to meet anyone I'd like, I'm hoping in this way to find such a person. If she happens to be a graceful, stunning astrophysicist-warrior-poet with a few of her own paintings in the Louvre, then so much the better; but I'm open to lots of different types of people. A great first date would be either a night at the the theater, the philharmonic, or the Rose Bowl.
