So, about me...
I was once called a "nerdy jock" by a gal friend of mine and she insisted she meant it in the nicest possible way. It's not a bad description, actually, because I'm naturally curious about different things and somewhat detail oriented, but I also like getting out and about, seeing new sights and being active. I know the distance the Earth is from the Sun and the value of "g", but I also know how fast my heart can go before I start to see pink unicorns riding on the backs of manatees.
I enjoy driving, riding my motorcycle, and just recently started to get back into drumming. (I had played when I was in 4th grade up through high school, but I'm really rusty now.) I love being active, especially near water, and I try to exercise several times a week. I try... sometimes I succeed, and other times success is a fickle bitch. Generally, though, I like to bike and do cross-fit stuff at home or the company gym. Oh, and sit in a spa. That's exercise, right?
I'm a father of two elementary-aged boys, and I split custody 50/50 with their mom. Our divorce 3 years ago was very amicable and we're still good friends. My sons are tremendous fun and I love being with them, except when they drive me insane. Luckily that doesn't happen much. :)
I'm looking for wonderful woman who is honest, smart, kind, a good communicator, funny (i.e. laughs at my jokes), introspective, affectionate, and adventurous. I'm drawn to people that are naturally curious, approachable, and energetic; I can open up quickly around folks like that. I would love to find those tummy butterflies again, too.

I am a fairly uncomplicated person. I would consider myself laid back and try not to let life's daily challenges get me down. I try and understand and learn from every experience that I have and would consider myself an intuitive, logical thinker. Family is extremely important to me and I have done everything in my power to keep everyone close. Some call me the glue that holds everything together, I would rather think I just know what is most important in life and it starts with a strong foundation. I am not the kind of person who feels the need to constantly reach for the greener grass but find myself content with what I have and continue to build for myself.
While I didn't grow up in the Sacramento area, I chose to live here close to the rivers and lakes. I feel the quality of life here is far better than anywhere I have ever lived. I love music (rock, alternative) and introducing people to new bands. I have a strong attraction to water and find any excuse I can to hit the lakes, take the boat out, or relax by the river.
I have spent my entire life looking for the right person for me and thus far she has not crossed my path. I have never been married nor do I have any children. I have taken the time to truly understand what I am looking for and in the process, I feel my heart has been filled enough love and passion for the right person to last a lifetime.
