Date someone special from United States. Music is both my work and my passion. I started my adult life as a hippie guitar player, then became a successful commercial songwriter in LA. I have also spent much of my life involved in a large variety of spiritual and personal growth pursuits, and have been privileged to compose music for quite a few world renowned teachers and healers in that realm. Six years ago I sold my house and studio and moved to Marin, where I've wanted to live since I first visited here at age 19. I am now reveling in the energy and the redwoods of this amazing county and looking for a loving aware feminine partner to share it with. Professionally I'm semi-retired and mentor developing songwriters in the Bay Area as well as having joyfully resumed my career as a gigging guitar player after a more than 30 year hiatus.
I'm a man's man and have a wonderful network of male friends whose company I enjoy and who support me in being the best man I can be. I'm also ready willing and able to connect deeply with the right woman. Many years of working on myself have given me well developed communication skills and the ability both to listen and to navigate complex emotional interactions. While I consider that important, the ability to laugh, play, and and enjoy life easily together is at least as important. A bit about me and what I’m doing …
I’ve worked and played hard all my life, and have been fortunate on many levels. My work life has been spent investigating and prosecuting economic fraudsters. I'm not a lawyer, but I work as a Judge. I work four days per week and I play the other three. I’m financially and emotionally secure.
I'm broadening and deepening my circle of friends, staying connected with my daughter, raising my 14 year old son in collaboration with his Mother, exercising, refreshing my cooking skills, eating well, entertaining at home, reading, writing, exploring back roads around the world from the seat of an iron horse, riding real horses whenever I can get my hands on a good one, working on my golf game and kayaking. I rarely watch sports on TV, and strongly prefer evenings that don’t include much TV. I listen to blues, jazz, reggae, rock, bluegrass, new grass, real country, classical and more. I love to dance. I like to catch a good movie at home in front of the fireplace or at a non-mainstream theatre, or go out on the town with friends. I'm currently making plans to ride my scoot to the San Juan Islands and back. Next I’ll explore Costa Rica, Australia, and later the Mediterranean – specifically Spain, Greece, Italy and France.

Date a soulmate from United States. I am a very adventuresome, father of 17 year old twins, a boy and girl. They are with me now and again. My son is in boarding school and his sister didn't want the 50-50 arrangement any longer so she is at her mom's who lives close to the high school.
My adventures have taken many forms, pro athlete, race cars, scuba, skiing a lot of guy stuff that was fun which I out grew, got tired of or lost interest in but am now trying to rekindle. Skiing and white water rafting have been fun this year. Most enjoyable has been driving up the coast in my 21 year old convertible, being part of the incredible natural beauty of Sonoma and Mendocino counties. Hiking Mt. Tam, of course, never get tired of. I go to the local museums regularly and became a member at the DeYoung before it reopened. All of these would be more fun with someone else and I have been doing too many alone, which is the main reason I'm trying the Internet dating.
I have a youthful spirit, will try or do anything at a moments notice. Communication, specifically, listening is my priority and not just relating what someone has to say to my own experience but understanding how they are feeling in the moment. Not letting small problems become big ones. "not sweating the small stuff" has become a valuable view of life.
I only have to work part time for various fortunate and unfortunate reasons. I enjoy my work, I have a Ph.D. in psychology and am a neuropsychologist working in a rehab hospital treating adults and adolescents who have had strokes, brain injury or spinal cord problems.
