Date someone special from Mill Valley, United States. Looking for a long term relationships, life should be shared. The kids are grown and gone, lets build some memories as we explore life.. I'd love to have someone to travel with and discover all sorts of off the path adventures.
Hope you are involved in volunteer work,
I have finally been able to achieve something I wanted for a very long time - involvement in helping people directly who need a one time bit of help. The foundation I work with is unlike United Way or others in that we give scholarships/grants directly to the individual who need something, we don't run it through a business model that pays the COE $400k off the top.

Meet a woman from Mill Valley, United States. I am a successful artist and am looking for my later life companion. I enjoy being alone, but think life is richer when shared. I like intelligence above all...and playfulness...I adore British humor. I love to travel and think of myself as European in many ways...especially the Italian part of Europe. I adore the synergy that can occur with the right mate. It is all about energy systems!
Date a soulmate from Mill Valley, United States. I view life as a creative and enlightening journey. I love people and gardens, music and art, mountains and oceans, and books and travel. My home is filled with light, color, and open windows and doors.
Growing up and spending most of my life in Mill Valley, I realized I hold a strong sense of place -- the lush green hillsides of winter that turn golden in summer, the gentle presence of Mt. Tam, the intimacy and comfort of a small town, and the rhythm and promise of the ocean just over the hill, are all a part of me. However, I think it was the adventure of crossing the Golden Gate Bridge, as a child, into the energy and diversity of San Francisco that first stimulated my love for exploring new places -- and a trip across "the pond" to England when I was 6, sealed the deal! Travels through the US, Canada, Europe, and now Mexico have ensued. Sharing, planning, and experiencing with a someone special enriches life's adventures and makes them a lot more fun!
Five years ago I first visited Oaxaca and immediately fell in love with its beauty, energy, and creativity. So, when I found myself unexpectedly retired 3 years ago, I relocated to Oaxaca. My Spanish language skill was limited to two years in high school, but IРІР‚в„ўve always wanted to learn to speak another language -- the move here has provided me with the perfect opportunity. ItРІР‚в„ўs not easy, but itРІР‚в„ўs another page in this work in progress....
While continuing to maintain a presence in Mill Valley and returning twice a year to the US to visit family and friends, I am relishing my downsized lifestyle on a rooftop overlooking the valley where corn was first cultivated. Travel has shown me that "place" is something to be explored, appreciated, and enjoyed -- not something to cling to. So, while I love my life down here, I'm not tied to it. Bumper sticker wisdom seen several years ago resonates: "When you live in your heart, you are always home."
For several years I volunteered for the Mill Valley Film Festival and the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival. While artistic expression is seen everywhere down here and Oaxaca is home to a lively art scene, movies are a different story -- thus trips to the US include cramming in as many movies as possible.
My musical tastes range from The Beatles (of course!), Dylan, and Eric Clapton (saw Cream at Winterland San Francisco in 1968) through Bonnie Raitt and Stevie Ray Vaughan to Jack Johnson and Corinne Bailey Rae, and from blues and jazz to classical music. And now I'm loving the musical sounds of southern Mexico -- the voices of Lila Downs and Alejandra Robles singing traditional songs, the harmonies and guitars of Trio Santo Domingo, and the countless marimba players who set up on sidewalks all over the city and whose music provides a soundtrack to life in Oaxaca.
My friends would characterize me as an optimist, strangers have told me I have a nice smile, and, while I have a serious side, I try not to take myself too seriously -- I love to laugh. My family and friends (many of whom I've known most of my life) are where I have always placed my highest priority -- they are a wonderfully creative and intelligent crowd! Of course, I am incredibly proud of my 2 sons and stepson and the men they have grown to be. All three continue to fill me with wonder and teach me great lessons.
Who am I hoping to meet? A creative soul with an adventurous spirit who values honesty and sincerity, is playful, kind, gentle, intelligent, has an open and non judgmental mind, an appreciation for the beauty and gift that is life, and a man who knows how to be a friend, as well as lover. Most of all, I'm ready to be surprised and delighted!
I'd prefer a few lines to winks.
Meet someone special from United States. I lead with gratitude. Love humor, integrity, character. Trust is a must! Communication, of course. I have had to work hard for a happy life and I'm thrilled that this is true. It has made me a better person.
I have a wonderful group of friends. Marriage always scared me, yet I would like to have the right partner. I have taken care of myself and would prefer a man who has done the same.
I'm primarily an intuitive personality. I like romance and would prefer a man who is sensitive (not overly), and considerate. I like athletic mence.
A golfer would be nice, but not necessary.
