Date a soulmate from California, United States. Often I'm told I am very warm, engaging, funny and very female. My father instilled that, always hugging us or holding our hands when we were young. I'm pretty simple in that I like being feminine and most definitely want a masculine guy. I do want someone who has lots of interests - is excited about life - has good friends that he sees and sometimes, we see together.
My family traveled west to LA when I was 12 from the east coast. I attended junior high and high school there - (no, I didn't become a Valley Girl - at least I never felt like one:) I decided to explore the Bay Area and picked a college there...it was great, but LA called again, and I returned to find myself married and with two great kids. After a while, we transplanted ourselves in SF where we lived for 15 years. I've been in and out of the restaurant biz for 15 years... currently I'm in event sales for a longtime SF company.
I'd prefer that my mate have kids who are out on their own... it can get complicated with all of the scheduling, etc. Having a best friend is my top priority in a relationship - trust, love and wanting to be part of the other's life and not afraid to embrace the great moments as well as the not so easy ones that we all know happen. Most importantly, talking about things we are feeling or experiencing is important. Exits are easy... working it out is the stuff of champions.
An English major in college and to this day, love writing - perhaps, one day that great American novel (or screenplay?).
I need to feel in balance and don't like most extremes. When the scales seemed tipped, I will set out to make it right immediately. Fairness, honesty and love of living mean everything in my daily routine and I want the same in my guy. I need to admire and respect him, so ethics and similar values mean a lot to me. I enjoy being with a strong man but I don't want him to be afraid to share his feelings...
I like men who are strong and aren't afraid when a woman shows her strength, but instead admires it. I think it's very cool when we attend a party or event and he makes sure I know he's there with a wink, hug or smile but not attached at the hip.
Here's something important - fellas, don't send those winks, smiles or add me to your favorites. I truly delete them and the profiles attached. It is sort of like not caring enough to walk across the room and say hello....
Finally, please make me laugh!
Meet someone special from California, United States. I am walking through a door right now of freedom I have not experienced in years. I have a wonderful group of friends and family. I have successfully launched my son off into the world and could not be more proud of him. I have work I love and flexibility that I appreciate. I am very grateful for all I have in my life and would like to share time with someone who feels the same. It is an exciting new chapter and I am looking for someone interested in playing, traveling, relaxing. I am independent, love and need my alone time, and am "low" maintenance. I enjoy life. I love to laugh, and would rather take life not so seriously, but like to have serious intelligent discussions on many topics. The rest is chemistry!
Date a woman from California, United States. I'm deeply curious about the world and love to meet new people, discuss ideas, and see new places. Caught between two coasts: New York born and influenced, California sensibility.
I'd like to find a man to share the joys of life: hiking, sailing, dining out with friends, volunteering, and traveling.
While, I admit to having a "fashion gene" - blame it on my mom and time spent as a model- I prefer a casual lifestyle.
