Briefly, I will tell you a little of what I feel is important to know about me. I was born in Hawaii on the island of Oahu and adopted at birth. I have a brother and a sister who were also adopted and though we are not biological siblings, we couldn't be closer. I am a good person. By that, I mean, I want to do what is right by myself and others. I am generous with my love and consideration, I am told sometimes to a fault because I still believe in others.
I love to cook and am an avid baker. I design and sew wonderful, crazy things...enjoy creativity and encourage the talents of others.I am an amateur writer and am working on two children's books. I love to sketch but want to try painting in acrylic and water color. I'm wildly in love with my children and grandbabies...have many friends but only a handful do I consider "close"..I have a passion for reading to the point that I will avoid doing the dishes right after dinner in order to snuggle up with a good book, but I also love to go out once in a while, dancing...dinner.
I believe in God the way I see Him and am enamored with the Universe and all it has to offer. Sharing my desires, beliefs, passions in such a brief space is counterproductive. I would enjoy meeting someone to explore these areas slowly, gently maybe over coffee or a light meal somewhere that's fun. I am physically demonstrative so if you don't like being hugged for no reason or holding hands when you are out with me, I'm not your girl. I'm feminine, slightly shy but I'm working on it. . It would be much easier if a friend would write this as I find tooting my own horn not something I like to do. Moving forward though I would say I am easy to be with, very pleasant on the eyes (at least that is what I am told), enjoy quite times and busy times. I am a neat nick in my home and like being organized. I take are of myself physically and am proud of my body and look years younger than the actual years. I will admit that I am a strong independent woman and this has carried me through many years being a single mom and to present. Careers - I have been the manager of a casino in Reno, Nevada and managed a law firm in San Diego both for many years. Have owned a couple of small businesses and now work 3 days a week which is a delight!
I moved to Escondido a year ago and have been in the "muddle" of construction and fixing my home up since then. Having lived at the coast for many years, I find I really enjoy the mountains that surround the village where I live and the dry atmosphere as opposed to the ocean dampness.
My life was on hold for many years while taking care of my mother, with absolutely no regrets, It is my time now and hopefully not to late to find someone special to share my life with.
