Date a soulmate from California, United States. Bright, good sense of humor, always have interesting and challenging things to do and enjoy, hard worker, problem-solver (and know and respect boundaries), very independent, and am quite comfortable being alone for days at a time, so I would like a balanced mix between being alone, being with you, and being with a group of friends (incl. you!). I am always attempting to put into practice the lessons learned from Buddhist teachings (patience, compassion, generosity, etc.),, sometimes more successfully than others; Avid outdoor enthusiast (cycle-road 99% of the time; hike, ski,), and like being physical, strong and self-reliant; seek a man who is more " the same" than complementary to my traits, and if working FT also knows how to (and how important to) get away physically and psychologically. i appreciate a man who has his own interests, which he would enjoy sharing with me and is "ok" if I am not interested (and will pursue it, on his own regardless). We are both seeking companionship, romance, intimacy, warmth, adventure and occasional silliness.
Meet a woman from California, United States. I enjoy traveling, working, gardening, antiquing, music, my cats, others' dogs, driving my 65 VW spending time with my family and friends. Good health and sense of humor. Looking for companionship and continuing to enjoy life
Date someone special from California, United States. I find this profiling somewhat difficult, as I find I'm a bit biased about my own attributes. In reality, I can have friends attest to these attributes if necessary! Seriously though, I believe I am thoughtful, smart, fun, active, loyal, independent, and an optimist. I make daily intentions to be happy, to give to others, to be respectful and non judgmental, to make this place we live in a little better for my efforts. I value family and friends and both cherish and nurture those relationships. Kindness is important. I would seek in a relationship someone with at least some of these values, and who would be a great buddie and friend, one to confide in, trust, love, romance, have fun with, share interests, and just be with! And I would be the great buddie and friend in the same way for him. Buddies/friends/lovers respect each others differences, and those differences both balance and enrich the relationship.
That being said, other facts about me: Born in Nebraska, spent short time in Denver and LA, and have been living in the Bay area since the mid 70's and hard to think of living elsewhere! I thrive on the nature and open space and the great proximity to everything! I'm happy, healthy, have wonderful friends and family. I exercise regularly, both the gym and walking/hiking, and watch what goes in my body. Have not always been quite as devoted to health as now, but one does get wiser with age. I love to cook, eat, drink good wine, and share this with others--- am a bit of a foodie. I also love hiking, Marin, the High Sierra camps of Yosemite, Tahoe, international. Have combined international hiking trips with touring and loved it---great way to go. Traveling provides me with adventures and immersion into new and different cultures that revive my soul. Love to read and in a Book Club (12 years and going strong), play bridge again after a hiatus from college days, have 1/2 season opera tickets, enjoy movies, spectator sports, museums, dinners at home with friends as well as dining out, wine tasting, my home and garden. I used to ski and would take that up again with a willing partner. I am a RN with a Masters in Public Administration with a health focus, work full time, still enjoy it, but plan to retire this coming year. And like most folks, I do take some down time just for myself!
It would be wonderful to share some of these special and everyday adventures of my life with a kindred spirit; to have a romantic dinner, to share some laughter, some special moments. So let me hear from you if you are interested in the same and are open for either a dating and/or in-depth relationship. It could be fun!
Meet a soulmate from United States. The after-work phase is NOW, not only weekends. So I'm free to take that hike, spend time with friends, read the book, garden, travel, and have adventures learning new things and making new friends. Do you like to do these things too?
I'm lucky to have had three careers: a short stint at preclinical pharmacology, International apparel imports, and non-profit management. I enjoyed each one and learned different skills, meet interesting people, got to travel a lot. Currently I am involved with a non-profit board with an environmental education goal. I am energized by this work as well.
The kids that live nearby. They are grown up, are smart, confident, lively, interesting people.
I've been married twice. The first for over 20 years to my high school sweetheart. We divorced, still respect one another and share those kids. My second husband was my great companion, he had my back, he was my confidant and friend. He passed away some 10 years ago.
I love to be active, and be outdoors. I have a partnership share in a sailboat and when people ask who is the captain, I say, me. I ski some, garden, love to cook for an admiring audience, and love to travel. Next up on the list is canyonlands, the Dalmatian Coast, back to Italy. It goes on.
I'd like to you if you are positive, honest, like confident women, are kind, listen, and are active and adventuresome.
Date a woman from United States. Since I have retired my main objective is to be with someone whose company I enjoy and to socialize with others doing interesting things that we both enjoy. I love to have a good time. I consider myself a moral, honest person and am looking for someone who would catagorize themselves in the same manner. I enjoy being kind to others and hopefully my partner would share the same kindness. My ideal match would be a fun type person who chooses to be in an upbeat cheerful mood and wants to enjoy life. I do enjoy reading and learning and am probably best off with someone who is highly educated and also enjoys learning.
