Date a woman from United States. Ready for the real thing? Friends say I'm delightful to know...loving, bright, enthusiastic, creative, playful, a loyal, supportive friend, and real. I'm open for a zestful connection that brings out our best as lovers, best friends, playmates and companions...laughing, learning, enjoying, exploring, creating together. Open, honest communication, respect, deep appreciation and cosmic humor keep love flowing. A good balance of “me”, “you”, “we” and the rest of our lives.
The right man for me is someone I can be fully myself with, and share unconditional love with. When we look into each other's eyes, we feel we've come home.
Some of my many interests, which I'd enjoy sharing with a partner, include my passion for nature, hiking, outings to beautiful places. I love music, especially dancing to it. Also art galleries and museums, performing arts, cinema, photography, browsing bookstores, writing, massage, reading poetry by the fireplace. Personal/spiritual growth is important to me. And living fully, enjoying and sharing the everyday moments. IРІР‚в„ўm healthy, fit, into holistic health and healing. Professionally wear many hats as a Life Coach, Chi Gong teacher, and do volunteer work for the environment.
More about a good match for me: a zestful man ready for a deep connection of body-heart-mind-spirit. His feet are on the ground, he has a kind, loving heart, and an expansive mind wise from living. HeРІР‚в„ўs healthy and fit and committed to staying that way. He laughs easily, and enjoys being affectionate and romantic. He loves being outdoors in nature, and appreciates music and the arts. He has a spiritual side (I donРІР‚в„ўt mean dogma), is open to 'the bigger picture'.
Basically, he is happy with his life and has a sense of purpose. He values open, honest communication, walks his talk, and has a positive, creative outlook. He helps make the world a better place. Extra Points for a great hugger; a dancer; a cat fan.
Meet someone special from United States. I am looking forward to rewiring for the next chapters of my life as I have recently stopped punching the clock at work. Besides finding a fulfilling next passion with which to be involved, I hope to spend time furthering my exploration of the US and abroad. It would be such a gift to have a special person join me in my travels.
Having migrated to the San Francisco Bay area after growing up in the Midwest and completing my undergraduate college years at Northwestern University, I find my west coast lifeРІР‚в„ўs adventures have filled many valued chapters. Included in this journey have been the joys of teaching nature education deep within the Santa Cruz mountains, a sporting life focused on San Francisco Bay with its call to the world of sailing, and exploring the beauty on the trails in Marin. While I do not follow the theatrical paths of some members in my family, I have even tried a stint in a few community Broadway musicals. My career in education has lead to teaching in a variety of settings such as outdoor education, regular education and Special Education.
Some of the adjectives that describe me would be curious, upbeat, intelligent, sociable, affectionate, compassionate, humorous, and active. One of my greatest pleasures is spending time with family and friends. These are qualities I also look for in a companion as well as a shared desire to together enjoy life's many pleasures while appreciating our individuality.
Date a soulmate from United States. I try to be kind, generous of spirit, and open-minded. I am smart, sensitive, have a sense of humor (how to characterize?--maybe irony, understatement or absurdity make one laugh... ?). My daughter and I laugh often, and it is she about whom I'm most proud. Additionally, I'm grateful for oh-so-much: my friends, my family, my cat, the fact I've got a roof over my head, etc.
I love beauty: in great architecture, art, music, dance, the spoken/written word, even food/wine. I believe anything worth doing is worth doing well.
Education is important. I most like and value honesty, authenticity and truthfulness.
Generally, I have a very nice life. I am newly single and still acclimating to this recent phase, but do think it would be nice to find companionship and more laughter.
Meet a woman from Greenbrae, United States. My husband passed away in April of 2009 - after a long difficult illness. I feel like I'm finally getting myself back. Caring for him was the priority - along with my 2 kids - and I pretty much neglected myself. I'm now focusing on being the age I feel - 45?? 35??? I think of myself as eternally youthful - and wouldn't want to be with anyone that doesn't feel the same about himself. I'm not interested in someone who is "slowing down." Also too busy for a long distance relationship. Must be Bay Area located.
.
I stay extremely busy. After a 24 year corporate career where I held a variety of executive level positions, I now have two businesses - an art gallery and a company that deals in fire suppression products. Good variety! The art is for fun - and the other business is for paying the bills! Fortunately, I have a wonderful staff and personal assistant that helps me with the kids and house tasks. My husband was a quintessential entrepreneur and we made great business partners, with his love of risk and my corporate discipline. I was a corporate move to San Francisco and met him shortly thereafter. We adopted a daughter from China in 1997 and a son from Taiwan in 2001. Of course I may be a bit biased, but my kids are unique, smart, kind, and beautiful. I don't know how I would have made it in recent years without them.
I grew up in Montana - 7th of 9 children in a very loving family. I totally fell in love with the Bay Area when I moved here in 1992 - (particularly after living through 12 Minnesota winters - where the company I worked for was headquartered). Living in San Francisco pre-kids was great! I expect I'll move back when they're in college. I take piano lessons and am studying Italian. I am wild about Italy and took 4 of my 5 sisters to Italy last September. The year before I visited Italy with my friend Sally and met my relatives in Calabria - and spent time with them in Marcellinara - where my grandparents grew up. I'm now in regular contact with my Italian family and it's wonderful!
What do I love? I'm blessed with great friends and family. My kids are the biggest thing that ever happened to me. I love to work and abhor the word "retirement." I have a whole list of books I want to write when I have time. I like to cook, walk, play tennis (but am recovering from meniscus surgery), work out with a trainer 3 times a week, look at art, go to movies, listen to music, dance, and attend the theater and symphony. Love to dine out at great restaurants, drink good wine, and stay in great hotels. A big disappointment was when my daughter didn't want to continue sailing lessons at the Sausalito Yacht Club. Sitting on the deck sipping wine and watching my beautiful daughter sail really beats freezing out there on the softball field. When I make the drive from Marin - across the bridge to the City - I can't believe how lucky I am to live here.
Date someone special from Greenbrae, United States. I'm a lot like Marin: creative, understated, comfortable, funky, built up in the 60s, still lots of open space. Lively, adventurous, curious, contemplative, happy, successful, loving, and grateful for a good life.
