Simple things make my heart swell - a tender touch, a baby's smile, a golden sunrise and orange sky sunset, blue skies with cotton white clouds, the autumn colors, rock formations, an old person's toothless smile, a good book, a bowl of cherries (Yum!). Expensive things make my eyes bulge with pleasure, too - a home theater, a diamond, a bottle of perfume, a jewelry, a huge vase of flowers. I am thankful for each day when I wake up free from body aches and pains and disease. I come from a poor family but now through hard work and thrift, I live comfortably. I have a 19-year old son who is intelligent and caring and with good values and I am very proud of him, I guess I could give myself a pat on back for having raised him as he is now. Of course, his father - now a friend of mine - played a good part in that also. It would complete my life if there is someone I could share my senior years with.
