Some of the things that bring enjoyment into my life are weekend trips,foreign travel, scuba diving, skiing, tennis, gardening (especially love plants that generate fragrances), hiking, biking, good food, exploring and romantic walks along deserted beaches, exploring tide pools, exploration of new things and ideas, art (especially oriental and photography), and time with family. I have been fortunate enough to travel to may places in the world and have briefly lived in several foreign countries. I often find it is not so much what you do, but who you are doing with that brings true enjoyment of life. A simple meal with the right person is definitly a better meal than a fancy meal at a 5-star restaurant with the wrong person. In college I trained as an engineer and spent my years in that field, but eventually I switched to the non-profit world. Sitting by a warm fire, enjoying the sifght and sounds from the ocean, or unhurried cuddling in the morning is wonderful experience. I believe I am younger both in looks and outlook than my age. I am part time dad two boys and wish the older one lived closer. One has graduated from grad school the other will soon be out of high school. There is plenty of room to share my heart with some else and I have the free time to enjoy their company. Much of my ideal match qualities are qualities I value within myself. You would be someone to enjoy life with, someone who is basically happy and comfortable with who they are. You should be young at heart (I am not old enough yet to feel, look or act my age). I've been an entrepreneur since I was young, selling Christmas Cards door to door in the snow. I grew up in a small farming community where kindness was the norm, not the exception. Since then, I've always enjoyed following my dreams! I can be a risk taker, without being stupid or over the top...I've been known to produce concerts, invest in real estate, the arts and start ups. I have a soft spot for creative people. I've been a musician, a writer and an actor, (had my SAG card) but none of them very well.
Now, I own a fundraising company that allows a foot in two worlds, charity and business. I'm on a charitable board that helps inner-city kids get educated. When I see a panhandler, I usually give. Sometimes my friends think I'm a sucker, my thought, what's $1.00 or $5.00 to me, but it could mean a meal to another.
I love to travel and flew the coast of Australia in a small plane, gambled in Monaco, danced till dawn in St. Tropez. (must admit, it's been awhile since I danced till dawn, but the spirit is still there). I celebrated my 40th in Paris, my 50th in Rome, 60th in A Brazilian Club in SF. I visit NY once or twice a year and sometimes dream about exotic places. Wouldn't it be fun to take a month and simply travel together?
But, most important will be the day to day time spent enjoying and maneuvering through life. If you have kids, I'll see them as a gift. What will make me happy is the simplicity of sharing a warm home with someone special. My home is an oasis, sunny, peaceful, private.

Meet a man from Mill Valley, United States. I'm an east coast transplant, moved here over 30 years ago, and have had a great ride in my life on the west coast. Was an art student, then graphic artist, then photographer for a number of years. Have been in the computer industry, and software sales for 20 years currently an account manager for an SF firm to architectural firms in northern California. It's a great way to make a living, and I work with some great people and clients. Have always been a car enthusiast, into sports cars, driving them, working on them, and driving instructing for many years. I enjoy the sun and the beach, and traveling and seeing and experiencing new places and definitely the many things California has to offer. I enjoy movies, action, comedy, and culturally revealing, visually interesting and thought provoking are high on the list, and art museums, and seeing live music. I like to read as well, and commonly devour a book in two sittings, and subscribe to a number of car and popular culture magazines. Enjoy dinner out, or in, and great company is really what matters. I try to stay in shape, which is as much about diet as it is about exercise, and I feel like I'm winning for the most part!
