I'm a hippy at heart, but my need for financial security is high. I work hard during the day and enjoy my retreat in the woods in the evenings and on weekends. I think I've found a pretty good way to handle this dichotomy within myself, albeit in an unusual and quirky way!
Some of my pastimes include cooking and socializing with my friends and family, birding, hiking, music and concerts, and browsing through bookstores (of the few that remain). I graduated from Darina Allen's Ballymaloe Cookery School in Ireland and lived and worked in West Cork for a number of years. I'm not a bad cook, really. Colcannon, anyone? A hike with my exuberant dog, binoculars in hand, makes me very happy. Travel is important and I like to plan some new adventure every year. Last year I visited Barcelona - beautiful and words cannot express. This year I'm looking forward to a birding expedition in Panama. Conversation regarding books, music and film is always a treat.
I'm independent and enjoy my life, but a companion for hikes, travel, music and adventure would make it perfect. I would really love to share my life with someone.
