I moved to the East Bay about five years ago after living in Michigan most of my life and then Florida for awhile. While Florida was more of a weather paradise than Michigan, I am truly enjoying my new home now. I have visited California several times and like many, I am in love with San Francisco and with all of the other exciting places to visit.
I have my summers off (part of them anyway) and have loved traveling throughout Europe. I'm looking forward to going again soon. My ultimate vacation would be to cruise the Greek Islands, so I have that on my dream list. I've been white water rafting, skiing in Colorado, snorkeling in the Caribbean, and until I moved here, spent a lot of time in San Francisco. The diversity of the city and the ability to escape to Napa Valley is so inviting! I am an avid walker and believe in staying in shape forever! I am blessed with good genes in my family, and even though I am 61, I feel MUCH younger both physically and mentally. Someone once said to me, "How old would you be, if you didn't know how old you are?" I like that! I also like to hike in the canyons in Tucson, especially in the springtime. I'm up for adventures and spontaneity, but I don't really like camping unless someone can convince me it is terrific. I have a Wheaten Terrier whom I adore and of course I believe she is the cutest dog on the planet! I also have two grown daughters who bring me lots of joy.
I guess the most important quality about the person I meet is that he is comfortable with himself and is able to communicate his feelings to others. I think it is important that he be content with what he has chosen to do for his occupation. Hopefully he has no excess baggage or has figured out how to deal with it. I love a guy with a great personality who can make me laugh. I enjoy cooking together, going out for dinner, or am happy with a bowl of popcorn and a good movie.
