I’ve finally accepted that I thrive on both—from where I live in the mountains above L.A., I can hike out the door to a waterfall, and can get to an art gallery in about twenty minutes. In less than an hour I can ski on Baldy or hang out at the beach! Life isn't half bad in LA ,but would be a lot more fun with an active "partner in crime". II'm looking for a companion to share life’s mysteries and adventures. I especially enjoy the kind of travel where getting there is part of the adventure—backpacking in the Sierras, kayaking from island to island, biking or walking from village to village, skiing or snowshoeing to a remote cabin. I'm also up for traditional car camping or a funky cabin anywhere that's quiet with a place to look for shooting starts. I'm happy with a good movie (not too violent) or book, hanging out by a warm fire. I’ve always wanted to walk along the coast of Cinque Terre from village to village in Italy and would love to go trekking in Nepal. I enjoy visiting sacred places with a mystery to them-- how the heck did the people who built Machu Picchu cut all that stone with such precision?
I greatly value my friends and family (I have two sons, one grown, the other college age), and have plenty of room in my heart for other peopleРІР‚в„ўs kids and grandkids. I enjoy eating out especially in unique ethnic restaurants (Vietnamese and Thai are favorites), and like cooking. Making ice cream and jam (plum,. berry and marmalade) are specialites. Yoga, meditation and Eastern philosophies are vital in my life.
