Date someone special from California, United States. I do like music, outdoors, good food ( don`t care if we cook it go out or what. love motor sports (drive my "vintage" go kart) for a hell of a lot of fun but enjoy a peaceful moment looking out at the harbor where I live or a trip to the mountains to a favorite lakeside cabin. Have also enjoyed my stays in San Diego, and its been far too long since I was in Italy alltough I have friends and family there.

Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I am not on Match to find a wife, nor am I here to find a 'fling'. I'm looking for a true and special friend and if there's a true mutual "connection", a lasting relationship.
- I have a good sense of humor which is probably best characterized as dry or (playfully) sarcastic.
- I have a few hobbies and they seem to have evolved over time. For example, I now find myself volunteering more, although you might not think of volunteering at Pebble Beach golf tournaments as `sacrificing' my time for others. I currently `work' 4-5 tournaments a year in the Bay Area.
- My favorite `distraction' is golf and do quite well at it. I've always been very fortunate to pick up sports quickly and become good at them...maybe not great, but I would typically be able to hold my own in the sport. Golf, tennis, racquetball, horseback riding (jumping), snow skiing, etc.
- I enjoy more mundane activities such as gardening/landscaping, remodeling, hiking, strolls on the beach, enjoying a nice glass of wine and a movie, etc. I'm an (uneducated) fan of architecture and love walking around the residential areas of Carmel (where I own a condo), and admiring the varied styles of homes. I recently purchased my 'pre-retirement' retirement home which I spent time getting ready to rent out until I'm ready to retire...when and if that ever happens.
- My first mid-life crisis occurred four years ago when I bought a new sports car that I use on weekends and for trips down the coast to Carmel/Monterey. My latest mid-life crisis is a classic sports car I acquired in 2010 (a Ferrari Dino) that I've improved and enjoy showing a couple times a year.
- I'm also open to tackling new challenges and opportunities to learn from that special person. They say that as you get older, you become inflexible to new ideas or experiences...set in your ways. I'd like to think that I don't fit that mold.
A little more about the special lady I'm looking for;
- You must like cats. I have two adorable 7yr old females I've had since they were 6 months old and they are very clingy and very affectionate. Best of all, they hold no grudge if I'm away from them for a vacation.
- You like to eat (within reason, of course...see definition of `fit'). I'm not into really fancy or too exotic, but I like most cuisines such as Italian, Mexican, seafood, Thai, and of course, pizza.
- You would like to travel, especially since I feel I have not done enough of that in my lifetime...I have a strange craving to visit Capri.
- You want to share yourself and your time with me, but you may also have other interests which you want to share with others. So if you're not into golf, for example, I wouldn't expect you to be dragged along with me. Likewise, if you just have to maintain that weekly crochet club gathering, I would hope you'd understand if I passed on that opportunity to spend extra time with you.
- Absolutely you must have a good sense of humor. You can be shy, especially around people you don't know, and I don't expect you to be the life of the party. In case you're wondering, I also just described myself.
