Meet someone special from United States. Hmmmm what to say - the choices they give aren't exactly "one size fits all". I guess it depends on who's looking and what your preferences are. But I look at it this way - joy is in the ears that hear, and beauty is in the eyes that see.
I Love the mountains and ocean (reason I moved out here). MUSIC IS MY SOUL! I prefer progressive rock/metal (such as Tool, Dream Theater, Nightwish, Kamelot) to Floyd, Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer. I also like jazz, blues, and classical (really don't care for country or rap though). I love rollercoasters, camping, cooking, live theater and Action/Adventure films, dancing, football, hockey, and Formula 1 racing. I enjoy photography but wish I had a better camera. I'm stable (mostly) and responsible, yet I love to laugh and have a quirky sense of the ridiculous!! I try to find humor in everything -- in order to stay sane (or relatively so).
I would love to meet someone that can enjoy the same type of music (age notwithstanding - I can't help what I like to listen to and music is foremost on my list) and good Action/Adventure/Sci-Fi movies. Even if it is just strictly platonic, which I am perfectly fine with at this point, I firmly believe that for any relationship to work, there must be at least some commonality of interests AND some physical attraction - I don't expect to match on every single interest, but being able to enjoy some of the same things together is an absolute must for me - it's no fun if you're always on opposite sides of the room, so to speak. Compromise is part of a solid relationship, but it can't be all one-sided.
