Having grown up in the suburbs of NYC and then lived in Manhattan during my medical training, you could say that I have elements of a New Yorker (the good ones?) along with the influences of the SoCal lifestyle after 25 years in San Diego. If there is something to which I might make a new time commitment, it would be to teach a course at the college level. The areas that most interest me are history and philosophy, both as something to teach and for the topics themselves.
