My son has a diagnosis of Asperger's. Anthony is warm, caring, giving, sensitive, empathetic and sincere. He is thirty, lives on his own, and completed his B.A. in English Literature and Writing last year. He wants to work with special needs youths, and is back in school for the credential. He is a tenor with a three octave range.
I have been a teacher for twenty-four years. In this, my 3rd career, I work with four-year-olds and their parents. Last year I ran a statewide campaign for a seat on the Board of Trustees of California State Teacher Retirement System, CalSTRS. I received 56% as many votes as the re-elected incumbent backed by a $500k media budget.
When I read a book or see a movie I feed my interest in narrative technique/ character development. At present I am opening up several unpublished short stories that come from pseudo autobiographical, personal and vicariously experienced moments of epiphany. I am active with my Alumni Schools Committee and interview prospective freshmen.
Three years ago I took five weeks to travel along the Pacific, from Mazatlan to San Jose Costa Rica before flying back to L. A. I have since returned to some of the places for a more complete experience of the culture.
Are you normal? Me? I am not normal. I have a favorite saying with a friend.... "(s)he's somewhere in the spectrum", and I know I am. I am not normal and that is fine - nothing outstanding about normalcy. I continue to work on becoming a better human being and have a small circle of friends. I used to tell jokes with a straight face but have evolved into a raconteur sometimes able to channel accents and voices. I find the humor in the "character building" experiences in life and do a fine job of deleting the pathos. I eat well and workout regularly. My personal best power lifts were more than ten years ago; I now prefer 30-40 mile bike rides and yoga, less stress on the joints. I keep my body fat at 11% and average heart rate at 150 for twenty-five minutes on the elliptical. I get a second wind and an endorphin rush at the end of my workouts. Live and learn. I will be a work in progress, 'till the day I die.
My ideal match communicates directly, with precision and honesty. We tell each other what we like or appreciate in each other or that we need to discuss some point of friction. If something is on our mind, we talk about it immediately or schedule a time for discussion. We agree to respectfully disagree at times, but mostly negotiate differences with passion yet mutual consideration and love. We do not waste time by making each other guess what we are feeling or thinking. We are both ready for a permanent loving mutually beneficial relationship. Passion, yes, but if drama ever rears its ugly head we take a time out, and reschedule for a fresh restart. Hugs, kisses, and holding hands are natural and second nature. Most often we surprise each other with random thoughtful act of love, both big and small. If we are not smiling it's because we're laughing or singing.
Oh yes,eight years ago I bought a small townhouse in a gated community in Nuevo Mazatlan and spend time there often when it is not rented (usually rents a month at a time). The pool is 100 yards from the front door and the beach is two blocks away. I have a reliable car there and travel to Michoacan, Jalisco, Mexico City, Veracruz and Oaxaca to destinations featured in a magazine targeted at adventuresome Mexicans, about day trips to the real Mexico away from the big cities. As I take extended vacations, the day trips are usually at least week-long

I'm a gentlenman, easy going. I like to threat people like I like to be threated. Love outdoors spending time with the right people and taking time to enjoy life and everything that has to offer. My best accomplishment my kids and now seeing my grandkids growing up.
