That’s what my friends call me. That and Shrek of cartoon fame. One fits my ethos, the other my mantle. Wherever I go, wherever I stop…I see the dogs first…no; if it’s a pretty girl or woman holding the leash I’m tormented and concentrate on her, but I always give the dog a “hello” look and smile, and nine times out of ten they come over to say hi…”not a bad practice”, I say to myself. Big dogs, small dogs, lazy dogs, puffy pretty dogs, it doesn’t matter…
The dogs seem to understand they’ll get some “love” immediately, a pat, a stroke, a kiss…maybe a big hug or a back and shoulder rub, always ending with a tailbone scratch. They stay till they’re called away, or tugged on by the leash, sometimes rolling over, so I can scratch their belly, or under their chin…
You know…you can pass out “love” to dogs even though your paths will never cross again… even just one time and they’ll always remember you, even years later.
I wonder about the woman…when was the last time she was “loved”…No, I’m not talking about that…I’m talking about the transfer of energy that occurs when two people are enjoying the same moment of pleasure or emotion, and you reach out to touch, to reassure yourself she’s still there, the moment’s being shared, to send some of your excess energy as a present…a hand on a shoulder, a kiss on the cheek, a squeeze of the hand.
I’ve noticed after 58 years there is no “fun”, while you’re alone. There’s accomplishment, or satisfaction, or a memory stored with limitless types of emotions…but no “fun”. You can have “fun” with your dog, because he/she responds with wags and licks and makes weird noises…but the energies are different, like a voltage lower…it doesn’t fill that empty spot in your stomach like “fun” with humans does…And “fun” with a loved one…just fills that spot faster with bigger doses, and soon it spills out on your life, covering all you come in contact with, with your extra “fun energy”, making even the mundane and torturous parts of life, a little easier to embrace and conquer…
Industrial consultant, owns small retail firm, financially and emotionally stable.... Like to hike, bike, and yes...I enjoy dancing! Actually took some West Coast classes a few years back. Lost twenty pounds this year, so far...am looking for "already active" type, unafraid of a little "moisture on their brow". Help plan a day hike...a ride through the vineyards, or just an afternoon picnic at the beach. I may not always lead the parade...but I'll always make it to the finish!Smart, personable, well grounded, opinionated woman, able to think for herself and be comfortable about her past. What's done is done... Friends are the most important thing in life, we make so few great ones,and lose too many to forces outside of our control. You only get out what you put in, relationships are hard work, just like your job, and FUN is something that has to be shared, it's hard to convince yourself your having fun, when there's no one to laugh with.

I love all types of music as long as it sounds like music and not like noise. I believe that great food is an international language that transcends all barriers. By the way... I love cooking and eating great food. Great surroundings invigarate me, whether the environment is of thoughtful human design or it is the incredible handiwork of mother nature. I take comfort and inpiration when I am in these places. All places and things are made richer when I am sharing it with people whom I love and care about.
