Date someone special from California, United States. I would like to meet someone who is a good person, attractive, has a good sense of humor, loves animals, is dependable, is honest, is loyal, and who has a normal adult attention span (aka NOT checking your cell phone constantly on a date! Immediate rejection material if not for a good reason!).
I love anything to do with water (swimming, surfing, snorkeling, fish tanks, fishing, boating, etc.).
The only lady in my life is 20 lbs. and black and white. Her name is Betty. She is a Boston Terrier, so you must like animals. I have always has lots of different animals in my life and I love almost all of them. I want to retire in a foreign country and drink mojitos on the beach until I die from happiness.
My closest friends would describe me as awesome, loyal, funny, honest, sarcastic, and intelligent
Meet single man from California, United States. On the street where I was born, in a magnolia-scented city named Chengdu (better known as home of the giant pandas), a stretch of chestnut trees stood shoulder-to-shoulder like two columns of honor guards. The trees were gifts from Chengdu???s sister city, Paris, endowed shortly after World War II. Soon after college I went to Paris for the first time. The noble trees protecting the Parisian boulevards were radiant with a homeward warmth, putting me at ease in the new yet somehow familiar City of Light. Yet at home wasn???t the only way I felt ??? I had immigrated to the US in the 90???s and was in Paris as a journalist from an American news outlet. Being in France stirred enormous pride of being American. I ran my fingertips over the pearl stone walls of the Sorbonne and savored that it was here in 1832 that a young Charles Sumner saw his black and white classmates speak and walk as equals ??? a sight so enlighterning it inspired Sumner to fight for Emancipation the rest of his life.. So while my Chinese American life was already shaped by the richness and inspiration of New World postmodern multi-culturalism, nothing brought more life to the words of Charlemagne ??? to speak another language is to have a second soul ??? than finding myself amidst the labyrinth of cobblestone rues in Saint Germain.
When not daydreaming at Parisian cafes, I live and work in La Jolla. I just moved back here after spending three years in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I still travel often to Europe for work and Africa for fun, but San Diego is where home is and where I long to return after an extended journey away.
