All the great women are so cool, but the minute i got on match.com, previous maybe plans came together, mostly unscheduled hikes with the Sierra Club, and my plans change from day to day.
About me, i'm a geezer surfer, (with an increasing problem with cold water), and math/engineering geek, skinny as that implys. I find many of my hiking companions have had cancer, as have i, which left me with half a tongue, a soft diet, and just two front teeth, making my smile look like a gopher.
Coupled with a long beard this makes me look like either a skinny santa claus, a pirate, or Gandalf the wizard, from Trilogy of the Rings. I was greeted with "How's it goin' Gandalf?" by a trail runner coming the other way on a hike last year, but am nowhere near big enough to play that role.
My favorite females are the librarians, some of whom i have known for 10 years, checkers at TJs who like to flirt, and a couple of real Highway Patrol women who i have met only once, as San Juan Capo is kind of a training station for cops, and one in LAPD who helped recover my van when it was stolen. None of these provide dates, of course, or i wouldn't be on match.com. Life is full of ups and downs.
