I am easy to get along with. A simpleton and a sometimes genius. A man that needs feminine guidance (there I've admitted it). I am independent and can take care of myself yet would yield control to the right vixen. In turn you should be able to put aside past negatives about previous relationships in order to let your feminine innocence show one more time. Of course this tends to be difficult. It was difficult for me to dismantle my protective barrier and open to the idea that I do not want to do this life-thing on my own any longer. Young men can have intimacy problems. A smart older guy realizes that macho pretense is just a cover to compensate for inadequacy. Hope is eternal and I believe that there is a woman out there who also knows that something deeper is still lacking in her life.
Now, more about me: I love music, reading, exploring new trails in the local forests and raising my two dogs. I grew up listening to the original country icons while bouncing on my grandfathers knee. Then progressed to rock. Now very appreciative of jazz and blues.
As a young dude, I spent summers working as a ranch hand on my uncles ranch. Lots of horse and cattle wrangling. Snakes galore. Always remember to look down when walking through brush.
I served our country in the military overseas, driven a tank, shot most weapons known to man, traveled the orient and ventured across the dmz on missions into north Korea. I have walked away from two plane crashes, been tossed skyward by out of control horses and kicked southern dust from my shoes accumulated during treks throughout Georgia, Alabama, Florida and Texas. During my so-called "professional" life I have sold insurance door to door, run a railroad (literally), and later counseled major pharmaceutical firms on methods to avoid product contamination. In my spare time, worked as a volunteer at a therapeutic riding center teaching disabled children to ride horses. Great fun. Here's an idea for anyone reading this: if you have the ability to organize a such a facility up here in the mountain area - then lets talk.
I also have a degree in journalism and am now attempting to write something important that will positively affect others lives.
I have the old fashioned values that I see on so many of the profiles that women are searching for. I believe in honesty and wouldn't waste your time with a less than honest profile.
I am a caring man who appreciates a warm hearted loving woman. I abhor fighting and drama. I do believe that if we cannot spend our time with someone we love then it is best to live alone. I have never liked cruising bars to fill that void. And hoping to stumble upon Ms. Right in the local grocery store is just an illusion.
I can barbeque a mean steak (marinated rib-eye), appreciate a great sense of humor and am a good listener. I give a great massage and if given half a chance will kindle a bonfire to ignite that little-girl in your soul.
If I can find a funny, attractive, city/country girl that is self confident enough to occasionally relinquish control to the man who she has grown comfortable with then I will have found my queen.
Things I like: Finding that special spot to kiss on the back of your neck. You humming to yourself while in the kitchen preparing your favorite recipe. Finishing each others sentences because we anticipate each others thoughts, you falling in love with my goofy dogs; me writing you a poem for no special reason. Sitting by the fire, sipping wine and watching a good movie. You and I going outside when it begins to snow, to watch everything magically turn white.
