I enjoy a variety of interests that keep me feeling young. Yoga, dancing, choral and solo singing classes, working out, cooking (the kitchen is a favorite place), hiking and biking are all favorites. Love to go to concerts and don’t mind driving out of the area to see a favorite band. I grew up near Detroit singing and dancing to Motown well before I had my first shave; music has been a big part of life. I love getting into thoughtful, stimulating conversation over a Latte or glass of wine.
I have seen much of the US on cross-country trips in younger days, mostly in campgrounds. My body is more friendly to a soft bed that an air mattress these days; hotels have replaced the tent. I recently took trips to Israel and Europe; those trips have wet my appetite to explore more of the world as well as the US.
Life is good, but it is missing the real juice; sharing it with a partner with similar interests. The ideal woman would be playful but outgoing, confidant, genuinely happy, and passionate with a healthy sense of humor, enjoys traveling, and likes to cuddle and be affectionate. Being a parent has been and is the defining experience of my life. Parenting a child enabled me to become a compassionate, nurturing and caring person. My son is in his second year at Santa Barbara City College. It brings me the greatest satisfaction and joy to watch him pursue his own path with energy, enthusiasm and confidence.
I was born and raised in the greater San Francisco Bay area and have lived in Aptos for 36 years. For an income and some satisfaction I have been constructing various public works of structural concrete that you drive by or over everyday in your travels.
Graduated from San Jose State in 1969 with a BS in Human Resources. Some graduate work but became bored with school.
I have sailed a little in the South Pacific; Hawaii to Fanning Island to Samoa. Took a trip through part of the Mediterranean years ago; Italy to Greece to Egypt to Israel. Kauai was a vacation spot for me over the last 6 years. Vacations destinations for me need to have warm water and a warm companion.
Eventually, I will meet a woman in touch with and comfortable with her real self. Too many lists of desirable and undesirable traits, or descriptions of composite fictional people that don’t go to either of our hearts. Profiles with misrepresentations are non starters for, hopefully, obvious reasons. Chemistry is so ethereal it's hard to know when some catalyst will kick it off, we’ll just have to jump into a bottle together and see what happens, on second thought, a cafe would probably be a better crucible.
