Meet a soulmate from United States. 65yr old retired gentleman, looking for a lady preferably in Cathedral City and around 70yrs old or so, if a retired educator you get brownie points, and if you drive a honda you get extra points, if you are of german decent you're definetley in, no questions asked.
Date a man from United States. ..that sooner or later a man, if he is wise, discovers that life is a mixture of good days and bad, victory and defeat, give and take. We all deserve a little tenderness, now and then. Maybe even, "A little seltzer water down your pants!"..Chuckles the Clown.
Giraffes are fasinating. Although? You need to have such a large yard for one. I would name my giraffe Claudia. Yeah! Claudia.
I grew up on the beaches of California. Give me an endless summer. The warmth of the sun. Tossing horseshoes into a sand pit, for all the marbles. Flying a kite way up there, just for the fun of it. Red sky at night, sailor's delight. Off shore winds, now and again.
I remain however, just a man! As you know? We poor fools aren't that bright, no how. I read somewhere that we're assembled over yonder, on Mars? And that seems to make perfect sense to me? If I stand back for a spell? Then try to just sneak up on the reality of the concept....
I need a grown up girl scout. A real high tone woman. In fifth grade? I admired the girls who wore their uniforms to school. That smart beret. I favored the ones who wore a sash with lots of merit badges. Their crazy sense of urgency selling the cookies? I found it very gung ho! Then? In sixth grade? I fell in love with Kim Novak. Go figure!
What makes me smile? A homely baby with a grin. A kitty wearing a bowtie. Old dogs. Old people. Just say hello in there. Rainbows on the horizon, so brililant they nearly knock you down. Makes me feel glad that I'm not dead.
Who has inspired me in my lifetime?
In 1968 I was a precinct worker for the campaign to elect Bobby Kennedy to the Presidency of this country. RFK made a big impact on me. I thought he was the "real deal". Still torn up about it some. Steve Allen. Smock! Smock! I miss Soupy Sales. White Fang held a wake for him? Pookie showed up with an entourage. Ollie sprung for creme pies. Kukla was there with Lambchop. I had a crush on Shari. Do the "Soupy Shuffle"! Enjoy yourself, while you're still in the pink
It's been a long, dusty trail. I'm so grateful for old Kim Novak movies. If I'm lucky? I can make it to the top of the hill. Maybe Calvary by nightfall. I'd like to reach inside myself more often, bring the best parts out. Grasp a little more humility, every once in a while. Dance with an embraceable woman, now and then. Say halleujah!
As for infatuation? Past all endeavor, you can't "Begin the Beguine", without it. Your hearbeat? Wow! But babe? You gotta have that "beautiful friendship" thing going on? You just gotta! If not? You might as well break camp. Saddle up. Ride away. Don't dare look back, mi corazon...
Hope to see you at the picnic on Saturday? I'll bring a casserole and a vintage Chardonay. Teach me a new fandango dear, under the colored lanterns of a shorline boat dock, like Holden and Novak. One of us in a cute sundress?
During the final years of my Mother's life, she lived with me. Just me and her. She was in her eighties. Her dementia was challenging. Like taking care of the sweetest little girl, with a truck load of wisdom. I learned more humility in that short span of life than I had learned in decades of life before. She asked me to scatter her ashes along the shore, near Cayucos. You know what? I send her a love letter written in the sand, now and again. That's my reverie. The best things in life are free, baby blue. Thanks Mary Ann!
One day soon I'll build a ranch, on the rainbow's side of the river. Plant apple and lilac trees, here and there. With enough room for Claudia. Oh? My kitty Midnight too. She's black. Wears a bowtie. Here I go singing low, where someome waits for me, sugar sweet, so is she,"Bye,Bye Blackbird".
Oh yes? Claudia? My giraffe! Big tall thing. Long face. Huge eye lashes. She can get to those juicy apples from atop the tree. Drop them down to us. Claudia is no fool! She's holding out for the pie. Me too! Al a mode. Way over yonder, where lilacs grow wild.
Meet single man from United States. I'm going to have to come up with a good description of me, but I am only here for the first time.
I have a good personality and am intelligent. I can converse about most anything, and genuinely enjoy the opposite sex.
I try to stay in shape by golfing (without a cart) and working out in the gym.
