I was born in San Francisco. I started working at very young shining shoes and selling newspapers. At the age of 18 (I) starting working in the Dairy Industry in the Bay Area for 22 years. I acquired a pasteurizer and weigher sampler license. I also acquired a Commercial Driver License Class 'A" with several endorsements.
I became a foreman, Supervisor and a plant Superintendent. I also aspired to to be a Union leader and was elected to Office in 1988.
I return to school and leaned how to be a Union leader.
I changed my career in 1989 even though I had a bright future in the Dairy Industry.
I started working for the Newspaper Industry in 1989 and was elected a Union leader in 1994.
I also became a member of the S.F. Labor Council and I continued my education also.
I lead the Newspaper Drivers Union into a better pension in 1995. They received 15 years of credits for 5 years of work as a bonus for joining the larger pension.

Meet someone special from California, United States. I spent my career building high rises and I would have loved to go all the way to the stars. For now, I’ll settle for gazing at them through the lens of my telescope. It will be fun to have a match join me as we take a walk on a clear night and see how many constellations we can point out.
