Date someone special from South Lake Tahoe, United States. I will most likely come back and edit this multiple times... (1st draft) In this moment, I am looking here to see if I can find someone to hang out with, enjoy doing basic things like hikes and music at the beach and trying new places to eat... nothing huge, nothing dramatic. My 'real' life requires attention and effort... and sometimes I'd like to escape my "labels" and just BE MYSELF...hope I can find a playmate who's down for the ride...and see where the road takes us from there.

I realize most single men of my age have traveled and adventured more than I have. That doesn't make me a non-adventurous soul, just that I have had other things to do(like raising kids). ... I look forward to the days when I can just pick up and see what the world looks like...meanwhile I settle for little adventures where I can find them, like seeing the desert, driving to the top of Blue Lakes or Ebbets Pass.
There is always more to be said, more to share, and yet this is such an awkward medium. I have a sarcastic and witty sense of humor, and yes, I sometimes curse like a sailor. I can be a lady when it is required, but also know how to hang and be 'one of the guys' as well. My spirituality is a big part of who I am, and while I don't conform to any one truth, I would like someone who at least ASKS those tough questions and has the capacity for deep thoughts...(of course, a massage therapist would be nice!)
(3rd draft) There are some guys here who scoff at emails and messages as opposed to meeting right away...and you should consider that A) Letter writing is a lost art and it is a good indication of character how one expresses themselves... and B) most women, myself included, aren't going to meet a 'stranger' right away, because there is always a safety factor ...
So please realize it is important to allow for that 'get to know you' period of letters and phone calls...in fact, it should be enjoyed!! :)
...oh...what else? let's see...my dream is to have a few acres off the grid and enjoy the simple life, even though that usually comes with hard work too - I'm down for it. I'd like to someday go to Paris and see Hawaii. I dig long philosophical conversations that last into the night. I don't have cable, would rather watch movies. I grew up in the Oakland hills/Berkeley area and it has kind of colored me a Hippie for life. Can't abide military or guns or violence. I love old muscle cars and love a ride on a motorcycle now then, and someday want my pilot's license. And I have more of a waistline than my pics show...lol
I find that I smile more than the usual person, it's amazing how many people go through life without smiling! I also crack jokes to random people when standing in line, I'm personable like that. I don't get angry when driving, but I'm not a pansy about it either...I like to drive like the road is MINE, lol. I like to crank up the music sometimes and pretend I'm still a teenager....which i guess we all are inside anyway ;)
I haven't committed to the membership thing yet, so give me a wink to let me know you're out there and I'll take the plunge and connect real soon...oh...and if you are more than 1-2 hours from lake tahoe, it is probably best for you to move on.

Oh- and just to add, I am purposefully NOT discussing my kids here. I believe a friendship/relationship is private first, and while my kids are my world and I am their Heroine, I think that introductions come WAY later.
