I used to be a tomboy. Now that I'm grown up, I'd still rather be outside than in...on the water, soaking up the sun, hiking a trail. I live in a mountain lake resort town and it suits me well. I enjoy all the outdoor recreation we have here, but I don't do extreme sports. I just have a great time. The beauty here is intoxicating and I feel alive just exploring the world around me. I've done Search and Rescue in the Sierra backcountry for about 6 years; it's a great way to be out there and help people at the same time. Most of us on SAR are adrenaline junkies.
I'm energetic, caring, and imperfect. You've got to be able to laugh at yourself a little.
I love the comforts of home and definitely like being spoiled, but now and then my spirit of adventure tugs at me and I crave travel. I enjoy trying new things, so I'm trying paddle boarding and just bought my first board.
I don't want to give a laundry list on what I like in a man. But since it helps to put something down... I do like a man who is as comfortable outdoors in the woods as he is at dinner out. If you're spontaneous, we'll get along fine. I often like to go for a spur of the moment evening boat ride, or a walk in the forest. Days off are for doing something really fun outdoors. I can be high energy during the day, but in the evening I like to have fun in a laid-back kind of way, like watching sunsets on the beach. That can happen nightly around here. But it's also such fun to dress up and go out to dinner...good wine and live music make a great paring. And please make me laugh! A sense of humor is good for the heart.
On the serious side, I value integrity, character, faith in God...and the quiet strength of a man who is secure in himself.
Did I mention it's kudos if you can cook???
