Even though I was born in New Jersey, my fondest earliest memories are of the family farm in Garards Fort, Pennsylvania which had an out- house, a smoke house (for the salted hams and pickles), a cow barn and corn crib and hen house. I lived with my grandparents and acquired a fascination with all things that fly and great respect and love for our hearty hard-working forebears. Parrots have been my pets for several decades and they occasionally fly around the house. I soloed in a Piper Cub the week I turned 16. United Airlines is now my winged carrier of choice.
Favorite places--love to go where I haven't been. Last year that was Ireland and Peru. Last week it was Atlanta, Georgia with the severe tornado warnings . A few top ten "to go places" Cambodia, Viet Nam, Galapagos, return to Australia, Bali and Egypt. Returning with someone new is like seeing it for the first time (with the added snap of seeing through another's eyes).
