I've owned a home here in Santa Cruz for many years, although I've lived over the hill in San Jose for most of the time due to relationships and work. I'm extremely easy going. I live about a half mile from the beach and walk to West Cliff Drive, often. I'm four blocks from downtown theaters, restaurants, music, etc., ..that I frequent. I avoid using a car as much as possible.

By the Way: All photographs of me were taken this year ('08). I am much younger that my age might suggest: I'm very truthful about my age. I'm in great physical condition and participate in walking, hiking, biking, and working out at the gym on a weekly basis. Having a great set of genes helps too.

I'm a happy, healthy, active, outdoorsy woman with a youthful appearance and outlook, also a financially stable homeowner. I've been described as attractive and smart, warm and friendly with an upbeat attitude and style. Born and raised in NY state, I've lived in NC, the Bay area and now Santa Cruz county. I have been widowed for almost as long as I was married. My three grown children and six grandchildren make me proud every day and we are a close in heart family. I'm most at home near mountains and lakes, but coastal life has been good too. I love our country and traveling within it has been interesting. Something I'd like to do more of. RV, anyone? Even weekend roadtrips are great fun. So let's go! Tropical islands are not my cup of tea but I enjoy time in the coastal southeastern part of our country. There's nothing like a vacation at those warm Atlantic beaches from NC to Florida. I enjoy romantic getaways as well as feeling it's important to keep romance alive in a relationship on a day to day basis. I appreciate the comaraderie of a kindred spirit as much as I value and seek other perspectives. Nothing is as uninspiring as a carbon copy. My communication style is open and honest. I look for that in my family and friends. The "we" I seek will share similar values and be interested in many of the same activities while we both also have interests that we may not necessarily share.

Family is up there in the passion department - including two grandsons who are now teenagers - one of which just got a driver's license!! My two dogs: Ollie a 14-year-old Tibetan Terrier, and Kahuna, a 2-year-old Havanese/Maltese mix. - friends, quilting, beach, anything outdoors.
