This begins my third month and prompted me to reflect on my posting and profile. I have received several "interests" and a few winks from some very sincere women. Most were from quite a distance away and that caused me to look at my calendar. In the month of February, I travel professionally a lot. . . only spent six days on the ground here at home and it clearly tells me that I can't support a full time relationship, in fact a part time relationship will be a real challenge. Realistically, I'm a "how about dinner next Friday" or "let's take a run in to San Fran or Tahoe next week guy". I promise that you will never be bored but then . . . you won't see much of me.
If you are still with me . . .thanks for taking a few minutes to read this. I am a successful professional looking for companionship with an age-appropriate intelligent, sophisticated, attractive and interesting woman. Existentialists hold that we define ourselves through our interaction with others and while I receive some of that through my career and family I miss the excitement of sharing experiences, hopes, dreams and the daily grind with an interesting interpersonal relationship with a woman. If you are that person, that you can expect and will find a decent, kind, tasteful, intelligent, romantic and experienced gentleman. My success in my career has enabled a very comfortable life style, one in which I can enjoy and share the finer things with my friends and loved-ones. I have a full time career that can and is conducted anywhere I can connect to the Internet . . . so no office but as mentioned, I do a considerable amount of business travel around the country. While that can be a deal breaker for some on the other hand it does afford frequent opportunities to meet in a wide range of cities and places of interest from St Louis to West Palm, Jacksonville to Philly, from Madison WI to Woodland hills and many points between and beyond. My musical taste includes the classics, the crooners, and torch singers including Lady Gaga and more. (No rappers need apply). Beautiful clothes for both men and women (beyond little black dresses which are essential) are delightful as are shirts and jeans when you let your hair down (hair is essential but color is wide open). If you get to my profile pictures you will see an expo of portraits, travel and a hint of my automobile interest. I have been restoring interesting cars for most of my life and I am an accomplished “hands-on” restorer so don’t expect soft physician’s hands. For much of my life I served as a Chief Medical Officer of two large Midwest auto-racing circuits. I have had lots of fun, met lots of nice people and served with sufficient gravitas to justify my attendance. Yes, I did mention the Midwest and while I was born in California I was raised and worked in both Minnesota and Wisconsin and as you might expect love the water. While in Milwaukee I owned a nice sailboat, which I shipped to San Fran when I moved back to Cali. I had visions of leisurely cruises on the bay . . .big surprise! I had never dealt with tides, REAL big ships and the goofiest winds on the continent, exciting yes, but leisurely no so I sold it and have been landlocked for several years.
Now about the age thing . . .I am indeed a proud 68 with the mental health and frame of a very much younger guy. Should we wind up together you can expect a very interesting, energetic, spontaneous and romantic companion.
