Date someone special from California, United States. Medium build weighing in at 205... I'm reasonably pleasing to the eye... not that any pretty lass passing me on the sidewalk is going to get whiplash turning her head for that second glance.
I was born in St. Louis, Missouri. My father moved us all out to Santa Barbara a few years after he returned from the war. I lived some 18 years or so self employed in Germany returning to Santa Barbara in 1994. I have three daughters and one son. My oldest daughter runs the business here in Santa Barbara and my son now owns and operates the business I founded in Germany back in 1976. One of my daughters works as office manager along side her brother in Germany and my other daughter travels internationally happily providing her makeup artistry talents to her devoted clientele. They're all great kids enjoying the good life... I love it. :)
I enjoy attending UCSB Gaucho basketball games and other sporting events, also motor racing... ground or air (Indy 500 or Reno Air Races), or just spending a relaxing weekend taking care of house chores interrupted with a ride over to Los Olivos for lunch or dropping down to the harbor to enjoy the sunset at Brophy's.
Other likes are tinkering on the piano... took lessons from Sister Wilma when I attended San Roque grade school as a kid... she use to wack my hands with her ruler whenever I made a mistake.
If it's a rainy afternoon... I especially enjoy spending time in the close quarters of a kitchen cooking up a favorite recipe... love to cook with wine... sometimes I'll actually add it to the food. :)
What it all comes down to is the fact that life is about health... happiness... and the pleasures of having that special someone with whom you can share it. After that, I can't say enough about simply having fun... including laughing at ourselves.
Personality wise, I'd like to meet a fun loving, warm and affectionate woman who is laid back and laughs easily... someone who doesn't take herself too seriously... in other words... capable of relaxing and letting the day unfold. It would also be nice if she could be confident, patient, and well organized. What the heck... as long as this is a wish list... there's nothing wrong with being passionate in her opinions and beliefs and articulately capable of expressing them.
