In jest, I view myself as an educated beach bum because I grew up on the SoCal beach, obtained a degree in oceanography and worked some in that field. Bum I am not, having worked hard in my education and professional career. Studies and employment took me to the east coast and gulf coast. I returned to NorCal last November 2011 to be closer to family after losing my wife in 2009 and starting retirement last year. I have two wonderful adult children (son in NYC; daughter in Nevada City) and four grandchildren, all of which are a major part of my life.
I am active, adventuresome, fun-loving, young-at-heart guy who likes the great outdoors and all it has to offer in relaxation, play and natural wonders. From bathing suit to business suit, I am comfortable in my own skin and can laugh at myself. US (44 states) and international (about 2 dozen countries) travels for business and pleasure have rounded by outlook of the world and on life.
My life now is in transition to being single again in a new area. I am seeking female friendship and companionship for fun, joy and excitement.
