Date a soulmate from California, United States. I am seeking a partner in the Sonoma County area. I live on the Mendo Coast. My son and his family live in Rincon Valley.My location is just gorgeous, as I overlook the Pacific Ocean on land that has been subdivided into 11/2 acre lots, surrounded by redwoods. The mortgage has been paid off, and I have no debts. I do enjoy landscaping, as you'll also see in the photos. I'm really a very fortunate guy.
But it's a long drive to anywhere, and I feel a bit isolated in the bedroom community. The dating pool to find Ms. Honestw/herself, Good, Kind, Empathetic, and of similar circumstances is a bit limited in this small community. Big order! But you should expect the same of me--Golden Rule. I want to expand the search. I really intend on eventually moving closer to my kids, grandkids. I could go either way on selling this home in uprooting to Sonoma Co. Perhaps you would like to keep this home as our getaway when needing a break from the heat or traffic. That decision would be an opportunity to get to know each other better. I'm open under the right circumstances? I have no map for this topic, but only the direction explained above.
When I retired in the spring of "08, after 38 years of teaching in public school, I literally jumped into it with a leap of faith, skydiving over Hollister three days after my final class. A young lady, breast cancer survivor, sitting next to me on a SWA flight from Burbank, where mom lived, to Oakland suggested I try this, as memories were brought back to her over Monterrey Bay. She was on her way to deliver a motivational speech before the women runners at the S.F. Marathon that year. She motivated me! The experience was--well--experiential, and not quite possible for me to put into words. I had a right of passage at 15, 000 feet as I stepped up to plane's door: "As I step over the threshold and decend, I want to think of myself as just another traveler through life, and open to all possibilities, no longer a teacher, but a learner." I know that pride blocks me from seeing my true nature. Having a partner who calls me on what I don't see in myself, would be a gift that I'd deeply appreciate; how important that is in our lives. I hope I have not missed that opportunity. I'm young in spirit and health. I just finished my daily 10 miler with my bike bud along the beach road below my home.
The photos of my front yard tell you that I'm responsible and enjoy keeping up my home. Also you can see a beach, the longest and nicest beach in Mendo Co. I hope as you are reading this that you might think about going on a walk along this beach and discovering who we are. I do have a spare room downstairs for a guest if and/or when you'd be comfortable with that arrangement. I know--so well!-- that I'm almost three hours from east S.R. No need to think of this as a long distance relationship, which is always difficult. I'm free to travel.
Before mom passed, I was not free to travel. I tried traveling once immdiately after I retired, but worried the entire month across the Himalayan rdge in my cold tent, and about why I wasn't watching her. I was there for her when I got back. Since she's passed in '10, and since I've traveled to Cambodia, China, and Italy for extended bike rides. BTW, that's is a great way to see the world, but walking is fine as well. Even if you don't think I'm your match, feel to free to contact me for further info on traveling. I'm tired of traveling with buddies and groups, and would like to find that one intimate person to be with at home or on the road.
Also, I like all the summer concerts that S. Co. supports. Let's dance!
