So who am I? Well, a pretty amazing guy if I do say so myself. Still making mistakes and learning. I've lived on a boat and on my own since I was 12 and I live on one still. Graduated high school at 15 and sailed away to Mexico at 17. Sailed into San Diego in the late 80s and have based out of here since (gotta love it, good weather and no mosquitoes) I work on and around boats, fixing them and driving them.
I have sailed around the whole world but I haven't found true love. Of course if you weren't out there in the Sea I wouldn't have seen you.
I'm also an avid cyclist and have ridden across the U.S., as well as several other countries and distant islands, but once again, unless you were on the side of the road waving a red flag or selling lemonade I wouldn't have seen you (I always stop for lemonade stands).
I think my photos do a pretty good job of conveying my story, I've tried to put captions on them. I've been on a lot of adventures, mostly involving sailboats or bicycles.
I'm well traveled and educated, open minded and curious about the world.
I'm a happy and gregarious guy with what I think is a great sense of humor (at least, I'm easily entertained). I smile often and will talk with just about anybody, I'm the guy that always says Hi. My bike has a bell and I use it frequently.
My home is paid for and it floats. I'm not rich, but I have no debt, and I have my health, which is the true wealth anyway.
Honesty and communication are important to me. I feel that no subject should be taboo if spoken about calmly, just don't lie. This seems to be a difficult concept for many people and has ended a few relationships for me (oh what? -you too!).

I've been on Match before, without success. Why am I back? Well, I guess it's like the lottery, you can't win if you don't play. But it can be really depressing, especially when you read all these great profiles which fire the imagination and excite hope in the heart, so you send a few 'winks' or go so far as to write an e-mail or two (better make it original), then receive.... no response,... nothing. Seriously, nothing. The daydreams fade with time, but hope never really dies.
I guess what I'm asking for is a response. Wink or write back. Or even initiate contact.
I feel you won't get to know anyone without actually meeting them, and this certainly applies to me. My life has been far too unique and unconventional to fit well into this type of box format.
