Contrary to many of my peers, I am proud of being my age - I'm glad I was alive during the crazy times in the 60's, got to listen to the Watergate Hearings on my car radio during the 70's, survived bad hair and fashion in the 80's and then started a family in the 90's. I did more than survive my life - despite a bumpy past few years, I have gotten to a peaceful and powerful place. Could the missing element be you? I want to meet a man with stories to tell, who understands the power of grace and do-overs, and who is grateful to be here looking for love.
Here is a small list of the things I like to do: tennis, camping, biking, hiking and road trips are my favorite outdoor activities. I love college football and basketball - go Cardinal!!... I am a voracious reader and have a surfeit of education...yikes! I am also a foodie and an avid baker - my favorite foods are consistent with my ethnic background - half Turkish/Armenian, half English and Welsh. My mixed-up heritage is a source of interest to me and I will be equally interested in your heritage, whatever it may be!
I traveled a lot as a child, but want to do more now that I have some time and money - we lived in Europe from '66 to '67 and went back several more times for extended stays. Many of my friends are from Europe - I seem to resonate with people from other places! I am currently teaching 2nd grade at a small private school - I love it! What I enjoy is bringing in some of my art writing experiences from when I wrote professionally - I showed the kids some images of chiaroscuro on Friday and talked about a tie-in with The Tale of Despereaux, which we are reading in class. I also enjoy art created by children very much - I guess I'm still a kid inside!
I used to be quite religious, but not so much anymore. I am more interested in spirituality and in our obligations as humans to one another and to our planet. Let's see if we can pull it together as a species - hoping we can and that I brought my children into a world that will thrive and not fail.
