Date a soulmate from California, United States. I'm a young at heart 56 year old female giving this online dating a shot. It's been years since I've dated, and there certainly wasn't online dating back then !! My friends all tell me this is the way dating is done now, so here I am. After reading my original profile, I'm already revising, so if you happened to read this before and are revisiting, you are right - it's not the same one you read before :-)
I like to spend my free time doing things that make me happy. Life is too short not to try to enjoy as much as you can. I have a great sense of humor, and a quick wit. I love to laugh, even at myself. I like to travel, and cruising is one of my preferred vacations. Where else can you go to visit - briefly, of course - several different places in a limited time frame and not have to pack and unpack ?? So far it works for me :-) I also like to go camping. I'm not a rugged backpacking kinda gal - but neither do I need to have hook ups and swimming pools. Tent camping is OK but only for a few days at a time .. trailers are my preferred mode. One of these days when I am able to retire and have unlimited time, I would love to travel the US and Canada via truck and trailer - so much to see and what a perfect way to do it. I also like to take day trips or get-aways on my days off - sometimes planned and sometimes on the spur of the moment.
I'm pretty much a down-to-earth gal. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. My interests are varied - too many to list, but include amusement parks, sporting events (some to participate in, some to watch), comedy clubs, concerts, going to the beach, shopping, playing cards/board games, and sometimes just relaxing with a good book or vegging on the couch.
My date would definately need to have a good sense of humor. I love to banter, and having a battle of wits with an unarmed man would just not cut it !! As I'm just starting to date again, I really don't know what to expect or what's out there. I may need to revise my profile again once I get the hang of dating !!
