Date someone special from Winters, United States. Oh, how I hate this part....it's so hard to think how to describe one's self impartially!
I suppose my header says it all; I live in the country and have a large garden, including over 100 roses. My kids are all grown and on their own now. I suppose I'm really looking for a companion, someone to share time with. I miss having someone to have dinner with, go on trips with, or someone just to do nothing with. Someone to both (mostly) laugh and (sometimes) cry with. Someone to share. A companion.
Most of my free time revolves around my garden, at least in the summertime, but I also enjoy home tasks and reading, taking time to relax and enjoy my garden, the creek I'm living at, my cats, my kids when I get to see them. I like to go out for dinner, farmers markets, food festivals, concerts and day trips, and occasionally longer trips. There's so many beautiful and or fun places to visit in Northern California (and the world), especially so with a friend!
I consider myself both left leaning and unconventional, while at the same time in some ways quite conservative. I give serious thought to things, like to read a lot and research whatever interests me at the moment. I think I am an intellectual, but don't like to get too deep. Love a good laugh...
I am battling a few serious health issues, however all in all, I think I'm in pretty darn good shape for my age. My garden helps see to that! I'm seriously small; under 5 feet, under 100 lbs. I am a vegetarian, and while I don't care if my mate is, I'd like someone who is health conscious and eats well without being extreme, and someone who at least tries to be in decent shape.
I guess I don't really know what I'm looking for in a man, but do know some things I don't want! No sports addicts, people with control or anger issues, and probably no one with very right wing rigid political beliefs. Although I try to keep an open mind....
Oh, and I'm hoping to meet someone who lives relatively close to my rural home, I'm not into extensive traveling (although it's fine if you're willing to travel). And, of course, someone who appreciates country living. I'm not likely to become a city girl anytime soon (but who knows, stranger things have happened....).
So, enough for now. My head is too full and it's time to go water the garden. Today is one of our special central valley 100 degree plus days....
Drop me a line if you think we might have something in common. ;-)
