My life is very good. I get lots of fulfillment from my job as a post partum nurse. Working with newborn babies and sharing in the one of the happiest times in a parents life is such a privilege and honor. I have 2 wonderful grown up sons who I am very, very proud of. I regularly visit my family in South Africa, enjoying family times in the beauty of the South African countryside. Would it not be so much fun to explore some of the wonderful sights of South Africa together?
Being able to do anything I want, whenever I want, is very nice but it would be even nicer to have someone to do all these things with. Things like traveling, visiting new places, trying new things, going to swap meets, street fairs, art shows, sunset walks on the beach. Having someone to come home to, someone to laugh and joke with, and someone who will be my best friend.
I divorced in 1982 and have been single ever since then, concentrating on raising my 2 sons, immigrating to the USA and starting a new life in America.
My friends describe me as a little whirlwind. Yes I never sit still, am always busy and on the go. I am not a homebody, like to be out and about as the house just gets too quiet and lonely for me to handle. My friends also say I am full of fun, honest, straightforward, helpful and hard working. I hate drama, especially drama that people cause themselves. I believe you “reap what you sow” and that a positive attitude is the most important thing in life. I don't tolerate dishonesty, laziness, and a "poor little me" or a "they owe me" attitude.
I think, thus far, my one of my biggest accomplishment has been immigrating to the USA from South Africa. It took 5 long years to navigate the immigration process and eventually, 13 years ago, on Valentines Day, my 2 sons, 6 big suitcases and I immigrated to a small town in Cushing Oklahoma.
I am so grateful to Cushing Valley Hope and the wonderful people of Cushing Oklahoma for giving us the chance to start new, wonderful lives and for my family's unconditional love and support. We now have our citizenship and are proud to be AmericanРІР‚в„ўs.
I just love living in San Diego with the sea a few minutes away, the best weather in the country and always lots to do and see. When the water warms up one of my favorite activities is going snorkeling at La Jolla Cove. I canРІР‚в„ўt live without my bath, ice cream, coffee, my friends and my car so that I can be out and out. I have a creative side and always busy with some project, be it jewelry making, mosaic art, creating living art arrangements, home decorating and gardening.
