I love my work. Its my second profession and in the interest of full disclosure, my first career was at the sharp end of international investment banking (which I loved) and I left it after 17 years to be a full time mom (which I equally loved) and now have a typical INFJ profession where I value the active listening, logical analysis of facts and collaboration.
I love to cook and once challenged myself to spending a year cooking something new every day. I did make exceptions for chocolate chip cookies, festival food and any heartfelt request! When I visit family or friends, they always share their kitchens with me.
To me the good things in life are excellent health, a positive attitude, a British sense of humor and a taste for adventurous food. When given the choice, my vacation includes some awe-inspiring architecture either natural or man-made to feed my spiritual side. When I have free time, I like mix up the routine with something new - like I will always try new places to walk but will happily share my favorite trails with others.
I believe I have been profoundly lucky in life, even the waves that hit me have been for the best. Ok - sometimes it took me awhile to work out that the wave that hit me was for the best so I am working towards accepting the things that can't be changed. I also believe in respecting boundaries and believe a challenge offered others should be an invitation.

I am a huge fan of college sports. Love the fun bantering about politics, spiritual beliefs and the last movie we saw. I live to laugh and find the joy in each day. It makes me feel good to volunteer and give back. Love biking (although my bike was stolen), training and walking Buster (as in Posey--yes, I am a Giant's fan), photography, holding hands, warm weather, Pilates, Twain Harte, live music , dive bars with great blues music, theater, competitive solitare (with actual cards!), getting dressed up and on the flip side putting my hair up and working in the garden in my bathing suit. Wine tasting. Farmer’s markets. Trying new adventures...even dancing with my two left feet. Weekend drives and even longer trips with the right person (I am a tad spoiled…..I used to work in the travel industry...remember TWA?).
Give me an opportunity to entertain...."making special occasions and making occasions special." My favorite simple pleasure is cooking together, trying a new recipe, firing up the grill, sipping our favorite wine and stealing that special kiss and hug from my man.
I am so proud being a homeowner (just refinanced and I am walking away with an incredible interest rate) and tackling my home improvement projects. Would love someone who knows what to do with a hammer, or has the phone number of someone who has one!

I have been single for a very long time while I raised my boys. They are now young men, who are successful in life. Number #1 son, just graduated from USC and number #2 has one more year at Davis.
