I also have a creative side. I currently have an online business that I keep up just for fun where I design greeting cards. I also like to paint and knit (yes, sometimes I am an 85 year old in a 26 year old body).

I wish I had something profound to start this with, but I think all I’ve really got is, “Hey, how’s it going?” So now that we’ve got that out of the way… I like to think I’m a comedian, and from time to time actually do say something funny. My sense of humor tends toward dark and sarcastic, and perhaps a bit twisted and dirty. I think shows like Archer, Seinfeld (because when is Seinfeld NOT relevant??) and Arrested Development are hilarious, although I flatter myself to think I also enjoy more sophisticated humor. My interests are varied, my personality more so. I’m ambitious and career-focused, but also realize there is more to life (like the Chicago Bears and sunny afternoons spent doing something outside, or just curling up with a good book to catch my breath). The remaining um, 27.6% I can be introverted, sometimes shy, value my alone time, and love having the time to just lose myself in a good book (self-proclaimed nerd). People that know me, however, say IРІР‚в„ўm an extrovert 100% of the time, happy-go-lucky with an air of the ridiculous (since being totally serious at work all the time really makes it feel like, well, work).
My family, while far away, is extremely important to me, they have shaped and supported me, guided me through the tough times and taught me the benefits of a well-rounded background; encouraging athletic, academic, and musical pursuits, and perhaps establishing a sense of realism and practicality as well to keep me grounded. They may have also contributed to an over-inflated ego as I have a competitive streak and will probably challenge you to some sort of athletic competition. I moved to SF from Chicago a couple of years ago, and the only thing that would make me leave the Bay Area right now is finding a job overseas – I’d relish the opportunity to embrace an entirely different culture with the added bonus of ease of travel to other wonderful and exotic (or not so exotic) places.
