Date single girl from California, United States. I am newly relocated to the SLO area although not a complete foreigner as I have spent many years with my family vacationing on these sandy beaches. I work in corporate communications, which basically means that interact with a lot of people all day and am on my communicative A-game from 8-5. So, once 5pm hits, I'm allowed to be a horrible stereotypical female communicator. Thank goodness that dates happen during that time. Haha! In all actuality, I love to learn new things and while I'm quick to talk, I'm also quick to listen.
I'm fortunate to have a truly wonderful family in my life, not to mention a legion of close friends whom I love dearly. I am an academic and an adventurer, a professional during the day and a singer (only in my car or bathroom), a lover of fitness and dark chocolate, a fan of thriller films and Jane Austen novels, an animal lover and archer, loud at times (I'm Italian, its in our DNA) and a great listener, quick to laugh and the first one to crack a joke, a fan of going out and staying in. I am both peaceful and energetic, nurturing and competitive. I understand I am a paradox of terms and yet completely secure in who I am. I definitely have an adventurous streak whether it's trying out an exotic recipe in the kitchen, running with my dogs on the beach or traveling the world with my sister. My dream trip is to explore Italy from Milan to Sicily, venture across historical monuments and tucked away treasures to finally relax on a beach with nothing but James Patterson books and a Cosmo magazine. Care to join?
What I am looking for:
I'd rather be with a guy who is passionate about what he does rather than focus on the size of his paycheck. I am drawn to those that can keep me on my toes intellectually as well as a great sense of humor. Wit and sarcasm please. Someone who is going to challenge me as well as be the first to offer a warm hug. To be honest, I'm just a nice country girl (most of the time) who's looking for fun and companionship. I love when a guy can captivate me with a story or make me laugh until I cry. I love that feeling you get when someone's personality just draws you in. Maybe it's your love of '90s movies, your baseball card collection or the fact that you traveled the world with a backpack and a dream -- it doesn't matter. The right man not only intrigues me but also brings out the best in me. We challenge each other to be better. We compliment each other, raise each other's egos and we leave short, thoughtful love messages for each other for absolutely no reason. If you're comfortable in your own skin, have a strong sense of self and aren't afraid to expose the real you, I'm sure we'll get along just fine. But I will say that if you're tall, dark, and handsome with an accent and wicked sense of humor. I'm already melting.
My ideal relationship is that of complete and utter comfort. I can be myself around you, flaws and all, without feeling judged. You can sit in your room working while I engage in a couple games of Freecell and the world is content. These green eyes will be only for you, your eyes will only be for me and we communicate this verbally, physically and often (The communication major in me comes out sometimes. Haha.). Fights don't happen often but when they do, we talk it through and resolve it completely before closing the chapter and not bringing it up again. Companionship unlike any other, an abundance of generosity and unconditional love grant us the foundation for a lasting long-term relationship.
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. I want to meet a guy who is compatible with my personality, who can share or support some of my interests and hobbies. I try to stay active and social and push myself to try new things.
Personality: I have a good sense of humor and appreciate all types of humor. I love to go to stand up comedy shows and watch silly movies and tv shows. I would consider myself very open minded.
Hobbies/Interests: Lately I have been really into trying new things and taking on challenges. I ran the SLO 1/2 Marathon and I have a few friends who are trying to convince me to sign up for the tough mudder. I also enjoy skiing, playing softball and going golfing.
I graduated from Cal Poly in 2007, majoring in Environmental Horticulture Science and lived in the Bay Area for 3 years after college. I'm back livin the SLO life but loved my time in San Francisco. I love going to baseball games and the theater.
I am very hardworking and driven. I work at a plant breeding station and have had the opportunity to travel to Costa Rica and Guatemala for work, it was a great experience and I would love to travel more in the future. Work is very important to me but I also think its important to balance your work and social life. I am good about making time for the person I am with, even if my work schedule gets a little crazy.
