While I am clearly an emotional person, I also have an "anything but" side. My BS, MS and PhD are all in engineering. I worked as a programmer from the time computer memory was measured in bytes not megabytes. Later I went on to teach college.

I enjoy dancing. I was a Theatre Major in college with a minor in communications. I really enjoyed the technical aspects of both majors. Never wanted to be on stage or in front of the camera. Give me a camera or something to paint and I was happy. I am still taking dance lessons and this time it is the ballroom variety.
Don't have any pets at this time. I feel it isn't fair to the pet to be gone for long periods of time. I really enjoy being around dogs and cats. Snakes and reptiles don't bother me, either. What do you expect... my college mascot was a horned frog.

. Seeing the red tide glowing in the waves near Solana Beach and dining at The French Laundry have both been very special events for me in the past few months. I live in slacks or jeans/sandals, but enjoy dressing up for the occasional "event." Am not high maintenance. I enjoy the theatre/movies (home and/or local), the Pops, looking nice for my man, getting together with family/friends for bbq's, cards, board games, charades, and races, some pro-sport games (I'm not a daytime TV person nor a couch potato); music choices are oldies, classical, some country, smooth jazz, classic rock, (no rap); horseshoes, men/women's baseball, a little soccer, and the outdoors beach/mountains, gardening, exercise of body and mind. I love dogs but not on my bed. (used to like cats but my allergies stopped that.) My dog is a rescue dog. Favorite foods include Southern Cooking, Steak, BBQ, Mexican, Italian, Fish, some Pillipino, some Asian. I enjoy baking, and trying new foods/dishes.
