Date a soulmate from California, United States. I love my life and I'm really happy! I'm open to meeting new people to share it with.
Originally, I'm from Michigan and moved to the area officially this past January. I'm pretty easy going and laid back. My job keeps me busy and I love it. I don't have a lot of extra time during the week, but love exploring on the weekends. I like being outside and sometimes feel guilty when I'm inside and the sun is shining. I love porches and hammocks and a good campfire.
I adore my friends. I love spending time with them and thankful to have them in my life. I'm a big coffee and ice cream connoisseur and love pretty much anything that involves the two. I'm almost always up for a new adventure!
I'm attracted to people that are kindhearted and honest. Also, someone that can I laugh with and joke around with is a neccesity. :)
Meet a soulmate from Julian, United States. I live in Julian, California and own a 40 acre ranch (with a rustic cabin), GREAT BARN though. I love the outdoors, but also enjoy intellectual activities--reading, writing, movies (good ones), painting, discussing art and politics (no fist fights please.) I am a runner (run 6 to ten miles a day.) I was on the fencing team in college. LOVE WATER. Kayak and canoe. Dog mushing (lived in Alaska and Maine.) Cross-country skiing. Just finished my MFA degree from the University of Alaska. I wrote a pretty damn good book--now trying to sell it (whole new world.) I was a high school English tacher and operated my own accounting business. Supported myself by bartending while earning various degrees so I can prepare a finanical statement from a shoe box of receipts, correct any written document and make a pretty damn good martini. Oh, I'm a fiction writer so all interaction is game. I'll try anything once. Skydiving (did that.) Enjoy dining, conversation, meeting new people. Also sex. If you are out of the whole sex thing, I'm not your gal.
I have a daughter in medical school who is on her way to being a trauma surgeon.
Date a woman from Julian, United States. A kind person who believes we can all make each day a little happier. Relaxed and enjoying rural life in San Diego County. Spending time with my sons, and my best friend, and enjoying the beauty around us, are some of my favorite things to do.
Meet someone special from California, United States. ... especially if the "it" seems impossible.
I love my life, and I am fascinated by new adventures as well as simple pleasures. In particular, I am happiest when I am hiking, ocean kayaking (although I haven't been kayaking in a few years), observing nature, sharing interesting conversation with friends and family, reading, working on my house (built it primarily with my own two hands), or teaching. Each weekday I wake up thinking, "Hmmm ... what do I want to do today? Oh I know, I'll crawl down off this mountain, go to the college, and talk about math." And just think ... they give me a salary and benefits for doing what I would choose to do anyway. On the weekends I like to step into nature and experience the wonderful. Simply put - life is good, and yet ...
I am interested in building a committed long-term relationship with a man who finds his own life infinitely interesting - a man who is both competent and confident - a man who can give and receive growth - a man who is looking for his emotional, spiritual, and intellectual equal - a man who knows how to have fun and how to live and let live. And if you're not religious (like-mindedness scares me) and/or love leaving footprints behind in primeval forests ... even better.
Date someone special from Julian, United States. I am a conservative person who knows what I want and what I am seeking. I am looking for someone who would like to go places, see things, and has an interest in life around them. Fishing is an adventure I enjoy, as in all things we seek peace and enjoyment.
Meet a soulmate from Julian, United States. .
I was a hippie in the 1960s. I traded my my fun-filled hippie life for hot water, indoor plumbing, AND
a successful career.
I am copacetic with every social group and well liked in some of the more interesting ones.
My clothing is always appropriate and my teeth are original.
Friends constantly comment on my literary leanings, and occasionally remind me of my poem,
printed in the New Yorker ages ago.
I enjoy walking in the morning and sitting on my deck in the trees in the afternoon, reading a book
and/or talking.
Around 5PM I brew a martini, if no one is around who likes to cook, I check the freezer for
a frozen pizza or a steak. I don't enjoy cooking.
I am charming yet modest, self-supporting but not wealthy, pretty even in the morning light
(I guess you have to decide that one for yourself).
If you are a man who appreciates quality in a lady,
a man who is young at heart,
, a man who likes the quiet life,
a man who enjoys traveling,
you may decide to send me a note.
