The features that capture my attention are someone's smile and the sound of their laugh. On our dream date, my match and I would jet off somewhere glamorous for the night. OK wait....back to reality...a picnic at sunset...a close second! I am pretty middle of road maintenance, NO DRAMA, and love romance. Surprise me with picking me up from work with fish tacos and a 6 pack of Corona on the way to the beach for dinner or wine, candles and a bubble bath at the end of a crazy work week...DONE!! I am looking for someone who has their own life and wants to share it with me. Someone who knows really who he is a relationship and looking for a long term relationship. The whole "dating several people at the same time" is not appealing to me as my heart can only go down one road at a time. Some of the biggest challenges in relationships come from the fact that most people enter a relationship in order to get something. They're trying to find someone who's going to make them feel good. In reality, the only way a relationship will last is if you see your relationship as a place that you go to give, and not a place you go to take.
I have read many profiles and it seems like everyone wants the same thing...a fun relationship that can grow with time, honesty, adventure...but I guess if it was that easy, match.com would be out of business!! In a nut shell, I am a single mom with college sons who works full time so I am not a diamond digger after a guy's money. Yes...I am d-d-d-divorced...and soooo over that so I guarantee I won't sit there at a fabulous restaurant enjoying your company and bitching about him the whole time! Yes...past relationships have to be acknowledged as they define WHO we are today and even more importantly WHO are looking for in a future partner.
I love to cook and entertain so if that is your thing, then we will get along well! Music...I enjoy a wide variety...lots of rock and new music. I am gonna just put it out there...from 80s rock to Nickelback, Kings of Leon, Rihanna, The Killers, Creed, Cold Play and Dave Matthews and don't tell me I am too old for Linkin Park. HAH!! Don't worry...I get the screamy rocker chick songs (a la Pink or Katie Perry) out of my system in the car on the way home from the bank. A little smooth jazz with a bottle of wine in front of the fireplace....absolutely!
Yes I am a Christian and attend a very modern church with amazing rock music once a week. For me it is grounding and helps me retool for the next week. I would to that my match shares that aspect of life as well. Sundays during football season....nothing wrong with a football stadium being a house of worship, right? It's all about balance in one's life. :)

I usually sum up my first three carees in a fun one sentence as "I can give the best CPR, make a killer birthday cake, and evacuate a plane in 90 seconds" .... I also have a bit of a wicked sense of humor, I love a good giggle :)
