I'm health-conscious and exercise regularly. I won’t be competing in an Ironman anytime soon, but my last Wii Fit age indicated that, with a little work, 40 could actually be the new 30. Given a choice, I'll leave the car parked and use my own two feet. I grew up and spend my days in the concrete jungle, so I'm grateful when I have an opportunity to hike or kayak or just get out in a different environment.

I am originally from Iowa and grew up on a farm. I moved to Los Angeles when I was 18 (also got married at 18.). I have an 18 year old son from my first marriage and my son lives with me. I bought a house in June 2011 and I have been working on it ever since. I've become something of a handy"man" and really like it. When I'm not working on my house, I'm volunteering with a dog rescue group or with the city animal shelter. "Must love dogs" should probably be my main heading. I don't trust anyone who doesn't like dogs. However, I am not the crazy dog lady. I also like classic cars and enjoy car shows. This makes up for my dislike of watching sports.
