Date men and women from Culver City, United States. I am very easygoing and I’m looking for someone who is the same. Chemistry is an unexplained phenomenon, and sometimes looking for it too hard can make things more difficult. Happy accidents sometimes happen.
I can be shy at first, but I open up quickly around outgoing, communicative, friendly people. I can feed off another person’s laughter and passion. I also enjoy the benefits of quiet time alone with a special person. I believe a good relationship should start with a good friendship and then develop into something deeper and more meaningful through patience and hard work.
I live a very healthy lifestyle, going to the gym, biking, inline skating and eating healthy, I do indulge in guilty pleasures now and then.
I like to explore new places and want to learn more about the world around me, especially with someone who shares the same curiosity and enthusiasm.
I have gone through many phases in my life, but it’s time for the next phase and I want to share that with someone who likes to experience life’s adventures with laughter. A sense of humor is essential for a healthy relationship to last a lifetime.
Meet single man from Culver City, United States. When people in LA meet me, they usually guess that I'm from New York or somewhere on the east coast. Although strictly speaking this is true because I was born in New York, I actually grew up in Portland. I've been in Southern California for a while now and what I love about LA is the crazy diversity of things to do and people to meet. As the brilliant Carey McWilliams wrote over 70 years ago, living in LA is like having " a ringside seat at the circus."
Before moving here I alternated between places where you have to shovel your car out of the snow and places where the sun shines 12 months out of the year: I lived in Boston, then San Diego, then Chicago, then LA. I think I want to stick with nice weather for awhile.
I've worked in a lumber yard making floor tiles in Oregon, been a roadie for a band in Boston (no it was not Aerosmith), driven cross country in Australia to see the Syndey Opera House and the Great Barrier Reef, and broken a bike helmet mountain biking in Moab, Utah. (Yes I've also seen every episode of the original Star Trek series, but no I don't have any action figures--well ok, I have one action figure but only because somebody at work gave it to me for Secret Santa).
I'm a recovering corporate lawyer but for the past several years I've worked for a few different internet startups.
* Celebrity I most resemble, according to sweet, charming, perceptive ex-girlfriends: Mark Ruffalo
* Celebrity I most resemble, according to mean ex-girlfriends: the Del Taco Guy
I am always curious, love to read, love to try new things.
Favorite fruits: strawberries, cherries, grapes, nectarines. What is it with mangoes? Why does everyone love them so much?
* Knowing the difference between "you're" and "your." [JUST TO CLARIFY: Don't worry -- I am not going to correct YOUR grammar and I'm not going to judge you for typos or something. In fact I don't normally make a point of emphasizing my knowledge of basic grammar. I'm only bringing it up at all because so many women on this site specifically list this among their criteria, so I thought I better address it.]
I'm like going to see Classical music (Colburn School, LA Phil, and lots of other out of the way places) but nobody in LA seems to go that much.
Favorite awesome untranslatable words:
Tingo (Easter Island): “the act of taking objects one desires from the house of a friend by gradually borrowing all of them.”
Tartle (Scottish): "the act of hesitating while introducing someone because you’ve forgotten their name"
Ilunga (Tshiluba -- Southwest Congo): "a person who is ready to forgive and forget any first abuse, tolerate it the second time, but never forgive nor tolerate on the third offense."
Jayus (Indonesian): “A joke so poorly told and so unfunny that one cannot help but laugh”
I'm looking to meet someone who
1) is curious about the world, and always wants to learn new things
2) is mostly sweet-natured but has been known to have a temper (but yet does not throw temper tantrums)
3) is cool with going to the used book store AS WELL AS the shoe store (is there such a thing as a purse store?)
4) wants to go hike Topanga Canyon in the afternoon, get all dirty and sweaty, come home, and then dress up to go see the symphony at Disney Concert Hall that night
Date people from Culver City, United States. .......having fun? Kids get a summer vacation, why can't we forget about work and careers for a while?
Before we get started there are a few things you should know about me -
- I've never been a rejected contestant on "The Bachelorette."
- My parties do not attract D-List celebrities. Or the paparazzi.
- I was once mistaken for Danny Elfman at a Jerry's Deli. (During my long hair days.)
- If you like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain..... then you probably like cheesy song lyrics and movie quotes. (Good.)
- I use punctuation in my text messages.
Here's the deal - I'm a relatively drama-free (no crazy ex's, no stints in rehab), career oriented guy; domesticated and fully housebroken. Fairly useful around the house (car and computer repairs may require outside assistance.) I've been involved in film and animation for 20 odd years, so my hobbies generally skew towards movies and music. Also a bit of an architecture geek. Usually, I'm a jeans and nice shirt kind of guy, but will don a suit for special occasions or speaking engagements.
I realize that there are other things in life besides work. There's plenty going on in my life, but I have the most fun when I can share those moments with friends - or even better - bring someone else along for the ride.
You don't need to be a nerd or a geek, but knowing the basic difference between Capt. Kirk and Han Solo is a plus. So, if this bit made you chuckle, and you are open minded, are willing to laugh (at bad jokes, at me, and at the little absurdities life throws our way), have a sense of adventure, and want to explore L.A., then give me a shout and let's have some fun this summer..........
Gene

Date a woman from California, United States. I'm more or less a casual person. You're likely to find me in jeans or sweats & flip flops, but I like to get dressed up sometimes, too. I'm not the 'clubbing' sort of girl, though I like going out, going dancing or for a cocktail with friends. I have lots of interests, but will save that for later. :)
I can be quite independent; having time to myself is important to me...but for the right person I can also make space. I'm basically looking for someone who's interested in a potential relationship...so we'd have to spend time and see what happens. Bonus points for being a gentleman; opening my door and holding my chair. (Being French or English is a plus, because I find a European man usually has lovely manners...but if you're a Yank who happens to be a gentleman...that works, as well!)
I prefer to meet someone and see what clicks, so I'm not really interested in loads of emailing back and forth and/or long chats on the phone. That way, we'll have lots to talk about if we decide to meet up! Thanks for stopping by... :)
Meet a soulmate from California, United States. Love is more than a string of simple flirtations, and if you don't believe that yet, you might by the end of this summer.
Hello there ~~
I am a down-to-earth, straight-up kind of person. I live each day knowing that there is always, always something to be grateful for.
I believe that human connections are vital to one's well being. I love my family, have a few, select friends (but won't mind meeting new friends) and enjoy my work. I know what my left brain is good at, am self reliant, a productive/contributing citizen, lol !!!
I like balance in life. When I am not at the office, I spend time with family and friends to inspire and get inspired. I like learning new things everyday. I read up on just about anything and everything that pique my curiosity. I like to feather my nest and enjoy my personal space. I like listening and dancing to music. I eat my salads and exercise but I'll also grab a piece of cake or bake one myself, lest I crave. I love playing dress up. I'm a girl !! It's good to update one's self and not be a dinosaur, lol !!! I skype if I can't be in two places at one time or just to touch base with family and friends in other parts of the world. Technology can be fun ! Adapt.
Coupling is even more fun !!! Looking for a friend, lover and partner for the long haul. Someone who is loving, romantic, thoughtful, tender, funny and sexy, smarty pants !!! Someone who is consistent (not blow hot, blow cold), reliable (be present), likes permanency/exclusivity (couple means two), not polyamorous/polygamous (that's just being greedy, lol !!!).
Chemistry is undeniable, palpable and totally divine !! It's got to be there !!
Take care,
Gigi
Date someone special from California, United States. I am a caring and loving person. I am organized, clean, I like to work and have been a very dedicated mom to my five boys ~ don't worry, not all of them live with me :) ! I like to be active and would love to live close to my family, but unfortunately they are living all over this world. Oh, by the way, I am a petite Colombiana who loves nutrition. I love to walk and take group exercise classes. Love music....salsa, merengue, cumbia, romantic, and some other kinds of music. I love to be at home, but I also like to do outdoor activities. I am pretty easy to please....hmm, most of the time! If my man loves me and is dedicated and respectful to me and my kids, he will get the best from me. Non stop love, attention and full dedication to make him happy. I love God and I like to go to church @ least once a week, oh and I love God's music, too! I love touching, kissing, hugging, squeezing, laughing and even sometimes crying! I would like to show the person I love my beautiful country, my people! I have 5 boys - 24, 22, 12, 11, 8 :) They are not troublemakers, don't worry! I do not have them all the time. I like taking care of myself, smell good (love perfums!) and I love chocolate! I hope you understood my writing because English is not exactly my mother tongue ..ha! I just got my divorce six months ago after two years of back and forth. I want to marry again, but I know I have learned a lot of things after my first marriage and I will be more careful and probably picky! Oops, sorry! I deserve the best....and of course, you too!! :)
Meet men and women from California, United States. I've been described alternately as a "gem," funny, sweet, not-easily-ruffled, opinionated, easy-going, tenacious, smart, independent enigmatic, and romantic. I like to have the door held for me. I grew up in Connecticut, so I'm very east coast meets west coast. Love the outdoors, like being inside with a glass of wine, travelling when the time is right. I'm ready for some adventure too.
Wit and a sense of humor can go a long way as does looking inward once in a while, but not too often, and having a strong sense of self, but not too strong. A little bit of old fashioned romance can make all the difference. I'd like to meet someone to laugh with, enjoy each other's company and see where the day takes us. Be open to each other's opinions and ideas, have an intelligent and at times serious, other times silly, very silly, conversation. No one knows what tomorrow holds so taking a chance and living your life without regrets, that's what it's all about.
Date people from United States. About Me:
Weird things sometimes happen to me; nothing that you should be afraid of, but just realize that if we get together, you're in for a wild ride.....examples - I've driven a go-kart for six laps with the back of the car in flames. Or the time, my car broke down in front of a dozen honking customers in the drive-thru at In N Out.
Passionate, loving and compassionate, are three words I would use in describing myself. Animals are one of my biggest passions and I am fortunate to get to work with them for a living. I work hard and love what I do! Appreciating every moment of life and valuing my free time. I am peaceful but energetic ~ balanced and spontaneous ~ romantic and sensuous ~ I LOVE to laugh, be playful and am quite funny (or at least I'd like to think so!) Independent and the kind of girl that can be just as happy staying at the Four Seasons or Motel 6. I enjoy a meal at a nice restaurant or a hidden hole in the wall. Sushi is my favorite! Lucky to have a loving and supportive family (11 nieces/nephews included) and wonderful friends, many which are life long. I can say I definitely have an adventurous streak and am up for most anything -- whether it's trying out an exotic recipe in the kitchen, doing something fun outdoors, like a beach bike ride, or traveling to new places. My dream trip is taking the Orient Express from Paris to Venice to Budapest, then relaxing on the beach of a sun filled Greek island. Are you in?
About the One I'm Looking For:
I'm definitely not your wallflower type and must admit, I like a bit of edge -- someone who's going to push me to my limits and then pull back with a warm hug or a nice smile.....Ahhhhhhh. Your a funny guy filled with wit and charm who can make me laugh until I cry. A man with a BIG heart and lots of kindness to give. Someone comfortable in their own skin. Affectionate and balanced. Fit, healthy and health-conscious. A communicator who is not afraid to take risks in life. I also love creativity and passion. Maybe it's your love for '70's music, your hot rod car collection or the fact that you moved across country with only a duffel bag -- it doesn't matter. Most importantly, a gentleman who still believes in chivalry. Are you out there!? Truth is, I'm just a nice girl who's looking for some fun, companionship and a lasting relationship (not necessarily in that order.)
Disclosure: I am NOT 45, I am 50 and feel 35. I have changed my age strictly as a search tool in an effort to find men I have more in common with. I am pretty strict on my age range and ask that you don't contact me if you are well beyond or before my bracket.
All of my photos are current and taken within the last year. I hope you will extend the same courtesy in sharing yours.
Meet a woman from United States. I am a great catch for someone very special. I am loyal, I am funny. I am looking for someone that has a great sense of humor and Loves to laugh as much as I do. I am a great cook and really love to cook for someone that really appreciates the finer foods in life. I cook a lot of Jewish type foods since I am Jewish. I only have the basic membership so I can't really do very much other then wink. So if I don't answer you back it's not that I am not interested it's because I do not have a membership.
